Looking for a server around €50/mo — 64GB+ RAM, 2TB NVMe, stable 2.5Gbps+ network
in Requests
Hi everyone,
I’m currently using NetCup RS4000, but it only has 32GB RAM, which is no longer enough for my current needs. On top of that, NetCup has recently increased its pricing, so I’m now looking for possible alternatives from other providers.
I’d appreciate recommendations for providers and plans that offer better overall value while meeting the requirements below.
Requirements
CPU
CPU performance should be at least on par with NetCup RS4000, roughly equivalent to:
- AMD EPYC 7702P
- 10 dedicated cores
Memory
- At least 64GB RAM
- 128GB or more preferred
Storage
- At least 2TB NVMe
- Good throughput and IOPS are required
- If the server also includes HDD storage, then around 1TB NVMe may also be acceptable
Network
- Overall network should be stable
- Latency and speed to major networks should be relatively consistent, with low packet loss
- Preferred bandwidth: 2.5Gbps or above
- Monthly traffic: at least 30TB
- Real-world throughput should generally stay above 80% of the advertised port speed when tested against local peering / nearby nodes
- Cross-region performance should be above average, or at least not significantly worse than normal
- A 1Gbps unmetered port is also acceptable if the overall network quality is good and the same general expectations are met
Location
- No strict location preference
IP
- Need 1 IPv4
- IPv6 preferred
Budget
- Around €50/month
- Flexible within about 20%
Preferred providers
I’d prefer providers that:
- have been operating for a while
- offer relatively stable service
- ideally provide an SLA
If anyone has recommendations for suitable providers or specific plans, I’d really appreciate it.
Thanks!
