Russian VPS
Hi everyone.
Looking for budget servers located in Russia.
Requirements:
- Location: Russia only (due to data storage regulations, need to host infrastructure locally)
- Bandwidth: 1 Gbps minimum, 10 Gbps would be perfect
- Traffic: unmetered / unlimited
- CPU/RAM: starting from 2 cores / 2 GB RAM is fine
ideally 4 cores / 4 GB RAM
Payment methods:
- PayPal
- Credit/debit card (non-Russian)
- Cryptocurrency
Use case:
Planning to deploy a small infrastructure that needs stable connectivity and no traffic limits.
Priority is price, so interested in low-cost options or lesser-known providers.
If you have any recommendations or current offers, please share.
Thanks.

@zGato @sh97 @jenkki and @forest may have some recommendations.
From me, I think it could be a bit hard to find unmetered >1Gbps that's also stable and not oversaturated in russia.
Thank you!
Aeza 🙃 Yandex Cloud, ihor, Beget, Selectel, Timeweb.
Good luck with your new project!
@AezaHost likely the cheapest (25 Gbps "unlimited" ports in MSK & SPB)
I've pushed over 100 TB back when I used them (in the old 10 Gbps plans) and they didn't bother much. Dunno if they still do though.
Their support is absolute garbage now, and I wouldn't pay more than monthly with them. But not that many choices inside RU. They only accept crypto. But their servers are good.
affiliated link | non-aff
There's also @4VPS, they have MSK, SPB, NSK and KEM. From those locs the cheapest with over 1 Gbps is MSK & KEM (MSK is out of stock at the time of writing).
affiliated link (get 20% off your first order) | non-aff
Their support is also kinda garbage now, and @4VPS has been ignoring my PMs here on LET, so take that as you like. I still use their servers and they're good IMO.
Datacheap is also an option. I've only contacted their support once or twice and they've been helpful. 10 Gbps unlimited port. I have the 5TB capped one so I can't tell you if they care about, idk, 200TB bw/month though.
affiliated link | non-aff
If you can specify a rough estimate on how much bandwidth you're going to use, I can check some other providers which have around 30TB or so bw/m caps, which is enough for most use cases.
firstbyte.ru and ihor.online Only few accept PP and CC/ Not sure about 1Gbps.
I wonder what are you actually doing, that you are subject to Russian regulations, but at the same time have no Russian payment methods.
And in general, just "do not go there", don't even start.
ml.cloud for 1G unlim
But ofc I agree with
At least you won't be required to provide personal information other than your email address and won't be banned for using VPN and other things.
Another problem is that when using a VPN server, you may not be able to access some sites such as YouTube and Telegram.
they seem to be completely dead. They've been ignoring my tickets for months.
half of their subnets won't work in many plances
does 4vps.su support ipv6? their looking glass shows ips, but all YABS i have ever seen dont have ipv6 enabled.
They don't assign an IPv6 by default but it can be easily enabled and assigned through their panel
At least the subnet I got had such bad censorship that I couldn't even access Debian's repos, not even the Russian ones. I had to get a refund. Plus, prices have increased by 40%. They used to be very cheap with great promos in RU.
I personally like justhost.ru by @antonpa, who has several cheap options across Russia. By default, traffic is throttled to 200 Mbps, but I believe it can be increased. No monthly traffic limits that I am aware of.
I believe this could've been related to the current BGP hijacking going on.

It took me ages but they finally acknowledged it. No fix yet though.
I had to ask their support to just ChatGPT my request because they were either playing dumb or actually not "tech" support, let's just say.
My other ticket remains totally ignored for months still...
That's funny. I guess I lost an extremely cheap triennial promo in Russia because my L1 support guy seemed totally clueless and was adamant that they weren't "applying any censorship to my account". They never did acknowledge my suggestion that the issue might be upstream. I'm not even sure the guy knew what "upstream" meant.
Definitely not real tech support. They were struggling to understand that "I see you are connected with VNC" does not invalidate the fact that I couldn't even connect to 8.8.8.8.
Sadly, my justhost.ru VPS is also having issues now, but they are not as severe and mostly involve certain GitHub APIs and Tor relays, which is likely just upstream censorship out of their hands. I'll probably ask him to migrate me to a specific subnet that Tor metrics shows is working, if he can do it.
wow, sad news.
Because I am using them for ~3 month and once asked for something in support, ticket was answered (and resolved) in 24h time frame.
I still can't vouch for them (because just 3 month using) but no steal, 100% uptime and unmetered 1G.
^^ all of this is regarding MSK (Volume Networks DC)
40% is crazy. i was interested in trying one of their locations but website says minimum topup is 30USD
Does anyone know if firstbyte.ru accepts crypto payment?
yeah. I haven't been using them lately so did not know they added a minimum topup. They definitely didn't have one before.
Yes, they accept.
