I find this fascinating. The price is basically the cost of power + the cost of transit, with very little to cover the actual colocation.
Where in the world can you get DC power for less than 15 cents per kWh?
https://1530swift.com/colocation.php
4992W for $1100, not sure if they'll move price but its probably as close as you will get for diversity.
I can do this for $2,200 per month in our Arizona data center, 12 month commit and /24 included. I can sharpen the pencil on a longer commitment.
I had to look into this, and it looks like this is actually doable. From Webhostingtalk:
⬛⬜Full 42U Cabinet - 9.6kVA (A+B Power Feeds)⬜⬛
$750 Setup - $750/mo - Month to Month contract
or
$0 Setup - $750/mo - 1 year agreement
⬛⬜Full 42U Cabinet - 10.8kVA (A/B Power Feeds) [Featured Special]⬜⬛
$1000 Setup - $1050/mo (regularly $1400/mo)
What can I say, you live and learn.
Outside of what @PolyAnthi mentioned above, I'm not sure you're going to find many options at that price.
QuickPacket can do $2,000 with 10G in any of our three locations, or $1,500 with 1G.
These doesn't sound like they include the energy price, it's just that you can use up to 9200W
@PolyAnthi already have Nocix and Fiberstate. I am already looking into @sshbox which i think is wansec but since they are kansas and i already have location in kansas. Regarding others posting 2000$ you are not ones im directed since phyzcs and budgetvm all already have 10g unmetered in 1500$ price point. So just looking what other options we have in the market.
you're looking for bottom of the barrel shitter tier price in a time where power pricing is skyrocketing, same with rackspace. good luck, no one in a passable facility will be able to offer this. just stick with psychz, nocix, maybe hurricane, or egi. maybe the lovelies over at @ColoCrossing could do something in buffalo, but I sort of doubt it.
maybe microtronix @jfreak53 or @veloxserv
AceHost.com might be able to do this in their Tampa facility. I’m in their Durham, NC facility and it’s worked well for my needs.
We have full racks at $500 a month with 10G fiber. Power is metered usage only, so you only pay for what you realistically use each month no more. www.microtronixdc.com
Us 🙋♂️ we charge $0.135 per kWh.
@fluffernutter already avaling this price and the names you mentioned are surely the ones who offer this kind of prices. some of them are already under consideration. my requirement is not an exotic locaiton so yes some places where power is expensive can't meet this and are even not expected by me to make offer.
@mike1s thanks ill get in touch with them.
regarding microtronixdc i already did my working and their unmetered 10gbps is 500$ with 5KW power along costing 500$ on top of 500$ rack price so total 1500$. They are in the same race as physicz and budgetvm and that too with a single carrier. I don't why they keep on bragging about power that we charge only what you use..ofcourse we will use that power if we are going for that.

Just curious: you mean rackspace.com here or it's just a missed space before the space (pardon the pun)?
both the cost of space and power is going up right now, not a very fun time to be shopping for colo
@JoshR
I am in the wrong LOWEND business.
@AK_KWH who is @JoshR
i have a colo within his faclity in houston tx
1000$ for the rack alone or everything, remote hands included?
Cabinet with 42RU, 7KW Max, Fiber Drop not a problem at that price.
But remote hands is what will bite you f* hard. BW depending on the grade ...
Thank you for the recommendation. $1000 is hard but we can look at some options.
@PulsedMedia whats your location of DC. I dm'ed you.
@AK_KWH whats his email or any website?
Will send a PM with a few questions.
Finland, 3x Helsinki and 1x Kerava.
Thanks for the mention, happy to help where needed
You're not alone, but everything is still ahead.
