Looking for low-spec VPS with strong unmetered bandwidth
Hi everyone,
I'm looking for a low-spec / budget VPS focused mainly on bandwidth rather than CPU and RAM.
Preferred specifications:
- 1 vCore (max 2 cores)
- 1GB - 2GB RAM
- 20-40GB SSD/NVMe storage
- 1Gbps port speed (guaranteed or dedicated)
- Unmetered bandwidth or very high monthly traffic (20TB+ preferred)
High-performance CPU/RAM is not required for my use case. I mainly need good outbound bandwidth at a reasonable price (ideally around $7-10/month).
Preferred locations: Russia, Netherlands, Romania, or similar European/Russian locations.
If you have any offers or can customize a low-spec plan with strong bandwidth, please let me know.
Thank you!

OVH, 4vps
@SKRIME (nvm tag suspended)
Thanks for the suggestion.
OVH is a bit too powerful for my needs (high CPU/RAM). I don't actually need strong CPU performance.
I'm looking for a much lighter / low-spec configuration:
Bandwidth is the priority for me, high specs would be wasted.
If anyone has low-spec high-bandwidth options (especially in Russia, Romania or Netherlands), feel free to PM me with details.
Thank you!
Well with OVH, you are buying for the unmetered bandwidth which is what is good for.
The cores and ram is just extra. For the price, its hard to beat.
Thanks for the suggestion and the bandwidth stats.
OVH does look good for unmetered bandwidth, but the plan is still a bit too powerful for what I need. I don't actually require strong CPU or lots of RAM — it would be wasted in my case.
I'm looking for a much lower spec setup (1 vCore or max 2 cores, 1-2 GB RAM) while keeping good unmetered 1Gbps bandwidth.
If possible, I'd prefer something more budget-friendly in that direction.
Anyone else have low-spec high-bandwidth options? Feel free to PM me.
Thank you!
Although they have a FUP, I've been able to push a lot of traffic through @DeluxHost (NL) and it's been fine. The specs are low (1 core, 1 GB RAM). I don't know if it can do 1 Gbps, but it can certainly do 20 TB/month.
My requirements are similar to yours, except I don't need any bursting, so I'm usually happy with 100 Mbps.
Thanks for the detailed experience with @DeluxHost.
The 1 core + 1GB RAM setup sounds very close to what I'm looking for.
Just curious — how is the actual bandwidth performance in daily use?
Does it feel stable when pushing higher traffic?
Would be great if you can share a bit more about the plan. Feel free to PM me if it's easier.
Thanks again!
Does the platform support egress IP identity management? We need our nodes to present a unified Anycast-like virtual source IP for downstream consistency and origin shielding
I run a Tor middle node so it's not bursting very high. At most, it will use about 150 Mbps in both directions, but the limit is that Tor is CPU-bound so the network itself can probably go higher. It's definitely not 1 Gbps dedicated. You can probably find a benchmark of them in the LET YABS thread.
I doubt it. Most providers here are pretty bare-bones. You'd be lucky to find a cheap provider with a mere routed IPv6 (there are a few here). If you're looking for top reliability, your pricing options are going to be a lot more limited.
Our 1GB plan should suit you fine

@avsisp has got services in the UK/NL
How is this machine working in general? Delux have been having lot's of issues for a while now and I moved away from NL machine but kept ipv6 Ryzen (NL as well but a different node) and DE one.
I think they changed their FUP re traffic and put something like 5TB/month but not 100% sure.
@forest Thanks for your mention!
@JohnFilch123 I just wanted to clarify that our storage servers have had 100% uptime since November, and since moving to the new datacenter some time ago, we've made great strides in our infrastructure in AMS especially, making it truly excellent, with continuous improvements and investments. We're especially generous with storage bandwidth, and despite the low price, we rarely limit it, we're often exceeding 30/40TB per month with some customers. We've never lowered the FUP, only increased it.
Well, I never used it, so cannot say. But I remember a lot of pain with another special offer services, cannot remember now...maybe W or maybe T, not sure...Current NL Ryzen ipv6 running really well and DE is more or less stable.
Oh, this is nice to know, perhaps I will give it a go with your generous traffic allowance
I know what you're referring to, and you're right. Unfortunately, we've had a lot of problems, but we've never given up and have always tried to do everything we could to improve, I think we're on the right path at the moment.
I hope to see you again someday.
You are seeing me
I just moved away from that particular deal and running two other servers with you.
We offer unmetered bandwidth with a 1gbit limit for all VPS-es in Amsterdam:

Our EUR 7,- LowPing VPS Basic plan might be a good fit for your purpose, including:
I'm specifically looking for an environment with 'Transparent Egress' capabilities—one that doesn't filter non-standard outbound traffic. If anyone has experience with these 'unfiltered' configurations, let's connect to discuss the specific deployment requirements
Hi.
We have VPS in Romania and Netherlands and Moldova (more cheap)
https://alexhost.com/vps/vps-europe/vps-romania/
The Port is shared, you request dedicated, but good luck.
For Moldova (this is a different product for those who want 1Gbps)
https://alexhost.com/vps/platinum-vps/
We have another Moldova VPS 6€ but port speed is 100Mbps.
Best Regards,
Alexhost
Hi,
Melbicom can offer such VPS in NL for 3.9 €/month:
CPU 1 core
RAM 2GB
Storage 20GB
Bandwidth up to 1 Gbps. If the monthly quota 5TB is exceeded, the throughput is reduced to 100 Mbps.
Data transfer Unmetered
You can take a look here: https://www.melbicom.net/virtualserver/?utm_id=2025_BSTForum100
If you're fine with Estonia @VPSSLIM has this great deal:
LET-EST-1G-VPS
For €12.95 EUR / year.

You don't get dedicated port or unmetered 1Gbps for under $2 per month
@avsisp is a solid option! I currently run services in all their locations (3).
Thanks for the replies.
To be clear about my requirements:
I need a low-spec VPS (1-2 cores, 1-2GB RAM) with 1Gbps unmetered bandwidth.
Most importantly, I require outbound source IP spoofing (ability to send packets with custom/spoofed source IP addresses) for legitimate network research and simulation purposes.
If your network allows source IP spoofing (egress filtering is loose or disabled), please PM me with details.
Thank you!
How about buyvm 1c1g ch?
10Gbps@∞/mo after paying for 3mo
definitely not sus requiring ip spoofing. I think you are in the wrong place for that.
I thought they were closing down their VPS sales to focus instead on dedicated servers.
I'm dying to get one but they block Tor logins (but not sign-up, for some reason).
Any upstream not following BCP 38 is in a state of sin and no provider should do business with them. Anyway, while there may be legitimate reasons to spoof source IPs, it takes a lot of trust because of thie high abuse potential and a random person who just joined LET with no background is not going to be the kind of person who will be trusted.
If you're a networking researcher, link to your website and maybe a few papers you've authored. Even some presence on discussions on relevant mailing lists would be helpful. If (and it's a big if) you can do anything like that to prove you aren't some random script kiddie who knows what hping3 is but not what Scapy is, you're more likely to get positive responses.
I don't have academic papers to share as I'm a hands-on network practitioner, not a researcher in academia. My work focuses on practical infrastructure hardening. I need this environment to verify how our proprietary firewall handles non-native source IP packets and to test our anti-spoofing filter's resilience in a live network environment
Hey! I think you are confused. We are not stopping with VPS services.
