Looking for long-term VPS for personal mailserver with ~100GB storage space (not fast)
I've been with my current VPS provider hosting my personal mailserver since 2013 but recent changes in company ownership have me wanting to make and keep a clone of it at a different provider to fall back to just in case.
I need about 100GB of storage but it doesn't have to be high IOPS or anything and HDD is almost preferable. Alternatively, or even better, It'd be great if there were a provider that had ~50GB of ssd storage and then some sort of add-on $5-10/mo slower attached storage option to add bulk (hundred+ GB) storage as a mount.
It has to be in the USA.
And it would be really nice if the VPS company has existed for at least a handful of years already (and so more likely to still be providing services a decade from now). Also nice would if they allowed uploading and using of user provided OS images.
I haven't found any providers that meet the above requirements directly so I have been exploring options with "Storage VPS" plans at various providers since even 1 virtual core is probably plenty for a mailserver that is only used be me and very lightly.
And it can't have insane restrictions against IRC like, "User may not: 4) Run any software that interfaces with an IRC (Internet Relay Chat) network." since all my friends and community are and have been on IRC for decades and I run lots of IRC bots (like megahal, llms, idlerpg bot, etc).
In summary, a USA KVM VPS host with couple moderate cpu cores, a couple gigs ram, 50GB SSD+50~250GB HDD preferable, or just straight ~100GB+ HDD, at an established provider for ~$15/mo. Maybe a bit more $/mo could be acceptable. No weird restrictions on basic internet protocols, like IRC or smtp.

Have you considered GreenCloudVPS? They've been around since 2013 and offer Storage KVM plans in the USA that could fit your needs perfectly. For example, their 400GB HDD plan with 2GB RAM is only $10/month, allowing plenty of room for your mailserver and clones. They generally support custom ISOs and have no issues with IRC or personal SMTP usage.
