Hey all! Yesterday around 4:00pm EST we experienced intermittent routing instability affecting portions of our network for approximately 30 minutes, with brief fluctuations afterward.
After investigation with our upstream provider, this was traced to a BGP routing event involving one of their upstream peers in Columbus. This was not caused by our infrastructure, equipment, or last-mile connectivity into our facility. The event impacted multiple regional and national networks during that window, big players, not just us. For instance, my Verizon cell service was in and out during this time as everyone else in town - Someone in Columbus hit the wrong button 
Our upstream implemented mitigation routing to stabilize traffic flow, and services started working around 4:30ish and beyond, they are currently operating normally.
They will be re-enabling the affected peer during their scheduled maintenance window. While we do not anticipate further disruption, you may notice minor routing changes or latency variation as upstream normalization completes.
We’ll continue monitoring closely.
