Hyper-V is the beast
You could use either KVM, Xen, Hyper-V or VMware.
Is it more effective than KVM and easier to manage?
You could argue that Hyper-V is easier to manage since it has a GUI management system in Windows. Hyper-V runs on a Windows Node. It does not have a web control panel (there may be some third party control panels), and is more geared towards companies that run their internal stuff on virtual machines and not toward hosting companies. Hyper-v or Xen.
For Automation Xen is best for you.
