We are looking for a strategic and technical Product Owner to take this program to the next level, ensuring our partners have the most seamless, robust, and automated integration experience in the industry.
The Role
As the Product Owner for the ReliableSite Reseller Program, you will act as the bridge between our technical infrastructure (APIs/Hardware) and our resellers’ business operations.
Your primary goal is to minimize friction. You will own the roadmap for our integration modules (WHMCS, Blesta, etc.), driving continuous improvement to make selling ReliableSite servers effortless. Beyond the product, you will serve as the lead subject matter expert, guiding new resellers through onboarding and providing high-level support to ensure their success.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Roadmap
Own the Reseller Roadmap: Define and execute the long-term vision for the Reseller Program, prioritizing features that drive ease of use, automation, and partner revenue.
Integration Development: Lead the lifecycle of our billing platform modules (WHMCS, Blesta, HostBill, ClientExec). Translate API capabilities into user-friendly module features (e.g., automated provisioning, bandwidth monitoring, null-routing controls).
Backlog Management: Maintain a prioritized backlog of user stories, bugs, and feature requests, ensuring developers are working on the highest-value items for our partners.
Reseller Success & Onboarding
Streamlined Onboarding: Architect and oversee the onboarding process for new resellers, ensuring they can integrate our products into their store and start selling immediately.
Expert Support: Serve as the Tier-3 point of contact for complex reseller inquiries, specifically regarding API integration, module configuration, and billing automation logic.
Documentation & Resources: Create technical guides, integration manuals, and knowledge base articles that empower resellers to self-serve.
Market & Competitor Analysis
Act as the "Voice of the Reseller" within ReliableSite. Gather feedback directly from partners to identify pain points and opportunities.
Monitor the hosting software landscape to ensure our integrations remain compatible with the latest versions of popular billing platforms.
Qualifications
Required Experience
Billing Platform Mastery: Deep technical familiarity with WHMCS and Blesta is essential. You should understand how these platforms handle provisioning, hooks, and third-party modules.
Technical Aptitude: Strong understanding of APIs (REST/SOAP) and how billing systems interact with server infrastructure. (Ability to read PHP/code is a strong plus).
Product Experience: Proven experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or Technical Project Manager, preferably in the web hosting, IaaS, or SaaS sectors.
Customer-Facing Skills: Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to business owners and less technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualities
Experience with other platforms like HostBill, Ubersmith, or ClientExec.
Background in the web hosting industry or experience running a hosting reseller business.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

Tbh I think the role description is resonable. You just need to be a developer who can communicate efficiently and don’t mind doing a bit of support.
Obviously the pay has to be right, but it’s not unresonable. He’s not saying he’s looking for s junior dev with experience in 25 different frameworks and databases like some others.
