What is the most linux like experience I can get using an android tablet?
in Help
I was given a tablet and would like to make it a desktop like experience, by plugging in a usb hub to the micro usb and using a keyboard with it.
What distro could I install on it to make it as close to a 'normal' linux os as I can get? with debian being my favored one currently. I found a project called droidian which is supposedly debian for android but not sure how well it works. Also another quick search shows debdroid as another.
Any other thought or recommendations to achieve this goal?

If you cannot root the tablet, use Termux with PRoot or Local Desktop.
Other thought or recommendations:
Termux and userland are some good options. CanIhavethe's messages are basically great
I also used to host a kali server vnc or similar and then connect it via a vnc port loong time ago following youtube videos lmao because I genuinely wanted a computer and had none, its a really fun experience but also takes like an hour or more
Anyways, recently wanted to do something again like this for nostalgia even though now I have servers. UserLand can do a lot of things.
Personally I really love Userland/termux
If you want just a terminal, termux's great
If you want to run gui applications or similar Userland's what I recommend
There was also this android app which could run operating system .iso itself but now I forgot what's name was it
Can you remember the name? Also I would like to install AOSP first to get rid of none open source stock android.
