Need a SSD SABnzbd Server

Currently something bottlenecking the SABnzbd downloads on Feral. It clocks to 100% core usage after finishing the download. Mind you, I'm only downloading - neither postproc, nor unpack - only repair if download fails. But with these settings also even after reaching 100% the job keeps up in the "downloading" tab for more than 20 seconds.

Asked GPT, changed config to avoid this, then tried Seedboxes.CC server.. but nothing helped. So I'm guessing HDD I/O is to be blamed. Because locally on my SSD laptop same setting would work tremndously fast.

If it is disk I/O clogging things up, would you suggest me any box that can download-repair (if needed) faster. Or please suggest me settings to improve in .ini?

My requirement - 1gbps @20TB/m
Usage - Sabnzbd downloads - repair using par2 (only if needed) - upload to host like pixeldrain - no unrar, unpack required.

Thank you.

I can vouch for Whatbox. Such amazing service. Used them for 2 years before I stopped managing my own *arr stacks.

  • Depending on your budget, it could be smarter to go with a dedicated server / VDS. Netcup has some nice offers from time to time, I have used a VDS prior to my dedicated server. In the end I chose a dedicated server from HostDZire, it costs me 100€ per year, ~8.3€ per month. I need to cap the download to ~ 720 MBit, because I/O gets heavy while downloading and extracting at the same time. (Of course Linux isos only).
I run this setup since ~6 months, never had any issues.
