Yet another VPS request
Hi all.
Looking for yet another VPS. This will be used as a graylog server, status and likely my IdP (more consolidation and exiting).
I need the following.
2 cores
8gb of ram
At least 120gb storage (bonus points if you have addon HDD storage, if you have that then I would be okay with a 30gb nvme boot and a bigger storage disk)
Low BW requirements
Custom ISO options (or at least have clonezilla)
Location can either be in OCE, SEA or Canada.

Have you considered greencloud storage deals (still available in the JP/SG region)?
Sadly only 6GB RAM but 2TB hard drive for $80/y would be unmatched.
Other than this, there is hostbilby 2c8g VDS serverdeals.cc deal (aff to sh97) with 200GB NVMe for $7/m, however I'm not sure if it's available in their Canada location.

Greencloud KYC'd me last time, but they also offered to void the KYC requirement the last time I brought this up (need to find the post LET).
HostBilby deal is incredible, would be great if either in their Toronto or Sydney location (and fits our requirements).

Second best option would be Tokyo but again probably a bit high.
What is your budget?
Probably no more than $25 USD a month.
However I am a frugal woman and I would prefer below $18 USD.

It wouldn't matter here sorry, it's based on the memory allocation. The 8GB Sydney plan has 4 cores.
Just consider the extra 2 cores as free addon

Just for transparency, I'm likely to go with Onidel if we can get the NVME storage from 30GB to 55GB. If not, I'll consider the rest of the options.

Graylog is quite resource intensive because it's a Java-based so you'll probably want more than 2 cores, unless it's a decent CPU. I've got it running on 2 cores of a Ryzen 7950 and it runs OK, (ingesting logs from ~40 VMs), but I doubt it would work well on 2 Xeon Gold cores.
Graylog also just didn't work for me. I was testing a full blown Grafana stack and it won last night.
