hi.
recently, i got a client who calling me daily to make a website. website will be a free live sports tv streaming. but i dont have any idea how to actually stream or re-stream live tv channels. all i know is using a RDP stream anything via obs software using api key. i have tried live earlier for facebook and youtube in such way. but my client want to stream sports channels and want to show scrolling text ad while live. i can design website, use reverse proxy for dmca protection, but i can't stream channels and dont know the sources. embed other's live wont work due to ads. i tried searching google, chatgpt etc etc. there is not enough data. anyone know, please help. client is calling me every single day, sometimes come to my office if i dont pick-up the call.

I would start with reaching out to whomevers channel you wish to broadcast to arrange licensing. Once that's settled, I am sure their technical staff will help you implement things :-)

You should just be honest with your client and tell them that creating a website for streaming video is not in your skillset

live video streaming over rdp? Rdp was created for desktops. Maybe you and your client do some more research in video streaming protocols and streaming client/server software.

already did. but he appears to be a leech. i did said several time that i cant do that because i dont know exactly. also i cant loose the client since he give me other legal projects regularly.
