Hello Support Team,

I am writing regarding the VPS I purchased yesterday (Order ID #4172478999).

I have detected severe performance degradation on the secondary 1TB storage drive (/dev/vdb). While the system boot drive (/dev/vda) performs normally, the secondary storage is practically unusable due to extremely low throughput and massive latency spikes.

Here are the diagnostic results:

1. Comparison of FIO Benchmark results
I used the following command to test random read performance on both drives:
fio --name=random-read --ioengine=libaio --iodepth=16 --rw=randread --bs=4k --direct=1 --size=1G --numjobs=4 --runtime=60

• System Drive (/dev/vda) - Normal:
  • Bandwidth: \~112 MiB/s
  • IOPS: \~28k
  • Latency: Normal (\~0.5ms)
• Secondary Drive (/dev/vdb) - BROKEN:
  • Bandwidth: \~146 KiB/s (This is critically low)
  • IOPS: \~36 (Should be at least 80-100 even for a basic HDD)
  • Latency: Avg \~440ms, with spikes up to 5851ms (over 5 seconds!)

2. Evidence from IOSTAT
While trying to access the disk, iostat shows that the device is stuck. The utilization is near 100%, but the actual throughput is zero. This indicates unresponsive backend storage or a degraded RAID array on the host node.

Command: iostat -x 1 /dev/vdb
Output snippet:

Device            r/s      rkB/s    %util
vdb              0.00       0.00    98.50
vdb              0.00       0.00    100.00

Conclusion:
The drive is unresponsive. I cannot use this VPS for my production needs in this state.
Please check the host node for "noisy neighbors," RAID rebuild status, or misconfigured I/O limits for my instance.

I request you to fix this I/O starvation immediately or migrate my VPS to a healthy node.
