Need a free spech VPS?

I need a free speech VPS anywhere in Europe for under £5 with a decent amount of bandwidth. I'm not looking for much, just enough to run a few small websites. I need free speech as many providers have anti-hate regulations.
No DDoS protection required as I get no attacks.
I just have potentially offensive user material on my forums.

Thanks in advance.

Head over to EDIS, they have bunch of "free speech" locations.

    for true free-speech use www.xsltel.com

but obviously that doesn't come with a low price ($24 min.)

their vps in The Netherlands are hosted from the Ecatel datacenter.

PRQ.SE is sometimes mentioned in this context. Again, not cheap.

The Dutch government has no interest in protecting free speech. Your guarantee of free speech only goes as far as Ecatel can provide, up to the moment Dutch authorities are on the doorstep.

A better choice would be something in Iceland, with an explicit statement of providing freedom of speech, such as https://1984hosting.com/.

1984 don't accept free speech, I sent them a support mail. Which is a shame.
Also, on EDIS all the German laws seem to apply, even for an Icelandic VPS for example.

  • Austrian, and this is very case depending.

    Offensive user material...

it depend what kind of offensive and to who is offensive.

If we dont know this, we cant suggest you a location.

    or go .onion

  • Take a look at http://www.orangewebsite.com based in Iceland

    http://www.orangewebsite.com/faq.php

I found content on website hosted on your servers that I find offensive. How can I ask you to remove it?

We are a free speech hosting provider and the cost of that is that there may be content hosted on our servers that some people might find offensive. Once we would start taking down such web sites, then we are no longer a free speech hosting service provider.

However if you believe you have found content that is illegal or against our TOS, please send us an email at [email protected]

Well, anti-hate could be a lot of things other than racist. If the OP really is a neo-nazi racist, then yeah, he can drop dead. But some places do interpret "anti-hate" extremely broadly.

Amusingly, one of the better "free speech" sites is in the US - Dreamhost. They host the American Nazi Party site (or at least did at one point) as well as the "draw Mohammed" cartoon day, despite a DDOS.

Of course, if "free speech" means "so we can coordinate our hacking activities" then...

Not that I would before, but I wouldn't buy any services from Dreamhost.

it depends on what kind of free speech you are talking about. If it's against U.S & Israel warfare, you will be looking at the providers for http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/ and http://www.brasscheck.com/

US based: http://www.liquidweb.com/about/dedicatedtos.html but it's not cheap

Besides, Iceland or northern european countries could be a choice.

That's odd. Their site states otherwise...

They also hosted Encyclopedia Dramatica when it was still .com, for a long long time... That said, the US government isn't exactly big on free speech.

I can't even imagine what the contents are if 1984 won't host it...
