Looking for VPS or dedicated server in Hong Kong with BGP session and PCCW transit
I need a VPS or dedicated server in Hong Kong which offers BGP sessions, and where the hosting provider is a direct downstream of PCCW. Basically the AS path would need to look exactly like this: MY_ASN PROVIDERS_ASN 3491. I also need BGP communities passthrough to the upstreams, and optionally no-export communities for each upstream / IX. The reason for these specific requirements is that I run an anycast network with a few other POPs in Asia, and PCCW is the main transit provider in the other locations. I need BGP communities for TE. Arelion and access to HK IXes would also be nice to have, but are not hard requirements. This is for production use, and excellent uptime is needed, so I'm not on a tight low end budget.
I'm mostly looking into this to improve routing on my network in the region, as there are some unfortunate interactions between how some ISPs in SE Asia route traffic and PCCW backbone metrics. I'd prefer to just get a VPS node to tunnel traffic towards my beefier nodes in Singapore and Tokyo, but if I can't find one that meets the requirements, then a (more expensive) dedicated server to actually process the workload would also be an option.
General requirements
Location: Hong Kong
BGP session: required
BGP communities: required passthrough to the upstreams
Transit: the hosting provider must be a direct downstream of PCCW; Arelion optional
IXs: Hong Kong IXs optional
VPS min specs
2 vcores
2 GB RAM
Uplink: 5-10 Gbps preferred. Down to a 500 Mbps VM uplink would be acceptable, as long as the host node has at least a 10 Gbps uplink, to hopefully avoid congestion
Traffic: 2 TB outgoing, with the option to add additional traffic at a reasonable rate per TB. Preferably unmetered incoming, otherwise 4 TB in+out
Dedicated server min specs
CPU: pretty much anything would do, but if there are multiple options, E5 Xeons are my least preferred because of poor single core performance. E3s are a good fit for my workload and my usual budget choice
RAM: 8 GB
Storage: doesn't matter
Uplink: 10+ Gbps
Traffic: 5+ TB
I can get an E-2336 with 16 GB ram, 2x10 Gbps uplink for $168 / month from DataPacket (using my existing bandwidth pool in Asia). I'm only interested in offers that are significantly cheaper, as there's plenty of room for lower specs.
