Frankly I can see it costing half a kidney
For the VPS itself, the budget is around $200 /Year. As for the cPanel & WHM license, I expect it to be around $20 per month, depending on the provider.
Honestly, I’m not a fan of cPanel & WHM, but I’ve got a legacy customer who refuses to go for a free alternative. They’re practically ready to sell a kidney to keep using cPanel & WHM. 😅
With that budget estimate your only realistic options are netcup, contabo, or the slower ovh vps line. But if reliability is a concern since you say this is for a customer of yours, then contabo is not an option either. And this is not including the software licenses..
Does that mean after 2 years…
