Is route6 object still required?
in Help
Hello. I announce some ipv4/ipv6 prefixes using BGP session in my ASN using my cloud provider upstream. They require me to create RPKI records for prefixes that I want to announce, + optionally route6 object in ripe. Sometimes I checked announcing prefixes without route6 and it worked no problems.
It's still required/recommended to create route6 objects for announcing prefixes or new-fashioned RPKI is enough?

Comments
As of early 2024, when we announced prefixes without route6 objects, some upstream providers would propagate them, others would not.
Thus, we still recommend creating route6 objects.
