Seen more and more negative experiences about ionos in the past month on forums and Reddit..
IONOS and support are two words that don't go together.
The hotline are some students/staff that have no rights to do (or even say) anything (even while some of them are fit in what they do, they are not really allowed to do anything in the IONOS world it seems).
Same with Strato. Servers down due to a failure in the DC on Friday evening will get fixed on Monday iirc as you cannot reach anyone till Monday (I've never used the "premium hotline upgrade" as I won't expect much from that one).
But normally you won't need support as everything runs stable, so it is concerning if they have that many outages recently.
Stay away from that provider; all you get is a headache. They always experience an outage every mid- or end-of-the-month.
Not exactly. I had server running fine for 10 months straight. This month there was 2 outages. The last one was 9 hours offline.
I had an outage with my UK ionos vps, it looked like it appeared during night/early morning hours in the UK. They have no ticket support and you have to call them. It's been pretty reliable beyond this one outage which lasted about 8 hours during the night in the UK.
They are probably the cheapest provider to have unmetered 1gig.
Here it seems fine, even on billing errors, they fix them in time.
I used their ticket system, I called them once, they where helpful for me.
Yes, try opening a support ticket first or maybe if they have a live chat support.
They have live chat support, but it is only on business days and on business hours. Didn’t found ticketing system.
To avoid issues like the recent Cassify outage affecting multiple regions, you can use Caasify, a centralized platform that lets you deploy VPS instances across 81+ data centers from providers like Caasify, Caasify, Caasify, Caasify, and more, all through a single account. This way, you can easily build a multi-vendor, multi-region infrastructure without the hassle of managing separate accounts on each platform, helping you reduce the risk of vendor-wide outages affecting your services.
Hi,
the support of IONOS took days to answer us with a 1-click-template response that did not solve the problem.
Massprovider level of support...
