Which GPU/iGPU is cappable of running games?

Hey folks,

i want to build a proxmox machine and passtrough a GPU/iGPU to play some games like Need for Speed (Most Wanted) or Anno 1800.

Is it possible to get a CPU with iGPU or does I have to rent a server with full-size GPU?

Edit: I recently tried the 12500 Hetzner Auction server, but the games kept crashing.

You need a GPU for games like you mention. Anno needs 1GB+.

The newer integrated GPUs both from Intel and AMD have gotten pretty good.
Not in any way, shape or form "good" as in "as good as a less than 5 year old GPU" but still.

As I don't know Anno I won't claim anything specific for nor against, but the SKUs with said iGPUs are the ones targeting end consumers.

I think that it'll be hard to find something worth the price, and when/if you find such an offer I very strongly advice that before you jump on it consider buying a used machine from this decade instead.

Or even better - spend time sniping components on eBay; that's how you get the real deals in this context.

It took me around a year to build my current rig but some parts were so cheap I was legit ashamed to pick them up

Shipping is my way of avoiding eye contact... got a video card for 4.99 shipping included. Local ads have become abruptly cheap in italy.
