My BAD Experience with ZAP-Hosting Lifetime VPS (Black Friday 2024 Offer)
I wanted to share my recent experience with ZAP-Hosting, especially for anyone considering their lifetime VPS offers.
In Black Friday 2024, I purchased two lifetime VPS packages. Everything ran fine until May 12, 2025, when I received a DMCA notice on one of the servers. I removed the content immediately, reinstalled the OS, and left the VPS completely unused afterwards (literally just the control panel was installed, no files, no live site).
Fast forward to now, I was surprised to find both of my servers suspended. According to their support, they received another DMCA report today! for the same VPS — but this is confusing to me since the site in question wasn’t even hosted on ZAP-Hosting anymore. I asked for logs or evidence tying the reported URL to my VPS, but instead I was told the account termination is final due to “repeated violations.”
If I was not hosting the site or file, then how could I have violated your terms?
What’s even more puzzling is that my second VPS (which had nothing to do with this) was also locked. When I asked why, I wasn’t given a clear explanation.
From my perspective, this feels like their “lifetime” plans come with a catch. Whether legal or not, there seems to be a high risk that your account will get suspended or terminated within 1–3 years.
If you are considering ZAP-Hosting’s lifetime VPS deals, keep this in mind. Once suspended, there’s little chance of getting your services back, even if you believe the report was a mistake or unrelated.

Got my first ever abuse suspension from them, which was a mistake, got instantly unsuspended after just opening a ticket.

"but this is confusing to me since the site in question wasn’t even hosted on ZAP-Hosting anymore."
xD
indeed Zap-Hosting lifetime vps/shared hosting deals are a scam. I had written about it earlier. stay away from them!
Yes it’s a scam. I would not recommend to get the zap hosting life time hosting.
I wouldn't say it's a scam, but you do have to be more careful. I've had a lifetime dedicated with them for over 2 years now without issue, whenever I've had a question they've been pretty quick to respond.
I have used Zap Root VPS for only one month due to a 50% discount. The DDoS protection really sucks; the CPU is old, and the basic performance can't detect DDoS attacks or secure the VPS.
All lifetime deals are a scam
How do they define a lifetime!
Same like marriage, of course. Good until it's not.
Yes, would be very interesting to know, and also how they're able to offer it for lifetime.
You need to login to their webinterface at least once every 3 months, otherwise it goes into a suspension state for 4 weeks. You are able to reactivate your product within the suspension state, after that, the service is gone.
There is no such thing as a permanent VPS。
It's like a box of chocolates
In the wise words from Eric at @crunchbits, never offer an unsustainable deal. Lifetime is unsustainable and @DediRock we want you to survive, not Deadpool. Not worth learning about how to fail, it’s obvious.
Lifetime of the provider and NOT that of the customer.
I am using a windows rdp from around an year, if i calculate my monthly bills its already have completed its value. Now its just running for free, you can't use them for production, you can use it for some basic daily usage.
I am having one lifetime vps that i just bought few days back from another provider & one lifetime windows vps from zap-hosting.
Just don't expect it to be lifetime, its just value for money.
Now how can a vps be lifetime:
I just guessing this, if you do it right than you may. Your lifetime vps must give you interest that should be approximate of your monthly bills. You just can't earn good, but can grab customers.
For example - Cryptomus gives upto 20% annual interest on TRX deposits. So if you selling it for 400$ lifetime, your monthly cost shall be 6.6$ for that vps.
But for zap-hosting it doesn't seems to be the case, so sooner or later it gonna collapse(Unless investors are willing to burn their money like it doesn't matter)
Who's the other provider out of curiousity?
Not a scam, but definitely not for everyone. The logging into the webinterface every 3 months might put people off. I've got two lifetime vps and one lifetime webspace (plesk) with them since about 2 years iirc and everything has been going well. Support is quick to respond, too. They also upgraded some vps hw to EPYC CPUs for free (mine not yet unfortunately :S )
@Ympker One of my lifetime VPS is getting frequently restarted now for no reason(I don't monitor the other two yet). They offered to migrate but I passed for now as I don't want to end up on older node again. Did something like that happen with yours?
Lifetime payment plans are almost always scams, cost-effectiveness
Iirc mine also got restarted some times but I think it was a Gameserver (have a Minecraft lifetime server from before they offered vps lifetime) they restarted all the time. You're on an EPYC node? That's awesome
Don't want anyone to risk money, you can search their are only few of them.
You can DM me.
2 on EPYC, one cba to reinstall yet. It looks like they got migrated when I reinstalled for LXC-KVM migration.
I have also as lifetimes Minecraft server and a Team speak music not, but I keep finding them off, so gave up
Sent DM
Yeah, my LXC also got migrated to KVM and I didn't reinstall it yet either. I stopped it and will turn it on once I have motivation to do it haha
Regarding Minecraft lifetime servers, I think they put idle ones on very full systems. Whenever I wanna play with my friends on the mc server, I open a ticket, they move me to a more empty host system, we have fun for a couple of weeks, then the server keeps shutting down again (and was probably moved to a full system again xD).
