I'll rate based on my experience with them.
Network connectivity: 9/10
Support: 9.5/10
Server control panel ease of use: 8/10
Pricing: 8.5/10
I had a dedi with them where the network cable kept getting disconnected about once every two months. Though I've only heard positive things from other people. So, I think my case was unusual. I'd buy from them again if I weren't so happy with my current dedis.
Network is great. Hardware is iffy. Wish I could use my own with them instead. For the average user, you probably won't have any problems with them at all.
They're not scammers, if thats what you're mainly trying to find out. You'll get what you pay for. I've not tried super high end servers from them, mostly ones under $120/mo. My main issue is the reinstall OS option rarely works and for a lot of the older server models, the IPMI java console is a pain to use too.
I’m looking to purchase a few dedicated servers to run email and web services. I’d like to confirm all the details before placing the order, but I appreciate everyone’s support and assistance.
Port 25 is blocked by default. You’ll probably need to provide some detail to them to prove your use is legit.
Network is a solid ~7/10, hardware quality is a mixed bag, probably 4/10. Support is ok though. Their panel feels like it was last updated in 2005, but besides that they're fine. I've kept my dedi for around a year now, so they must be doing something right.
It has good hardware configurations 9/10, the network and AntiDDoS are 6/10, the price is great and the support is ok.
Do they have firewall like I can block access to dedicated server?
I've been using them for a couple of years now. Their pricing is definitely higher than most low end dedi providers, but otherwise everything is pretty great.
Their communication is top of the bar within the low end providers I am with.
Earlier this year I had a main drive (SSD) failure late night and created a ticket, they are pretty responsive and offers to help me swap my drive when I was asleep. I did not take that offer though (obviously, I was still asleep), but they did the drive swap in ~ 10 - 15 minutes of me acknowledging it.
Don't see that on the control panel. They have a interesting way to allow IPMI access though.
I've had no issues with their hardware and price is pretty good. Like mentioned their panel looks very old and needs some design updates. I like their network in NYC Metro and Miami locations but with LA it is decent.
I got a server from InterServer, and their IPMI is terrible. I’ve been trying for four hours and still can’t install my custom ISO. It’s driving me crazy. I’m going to try Reliable next.
We've used them for many years, I want to say, maybe 10 or more. Fantastic network, support was always great and no issues with their hardware. My experiences are based on services deployed in NYC and MIA.
Been using them for several years
Pricing 9/10
Hardware 6/10, lots of issues and heating issues.
Network 8/10 good enough
Support 4/10, their weakest part. Many times where they dont have on site staff, many time where we had to wait many hours for someone to arrive to check issues, lots of downtime because of that, just because they dont keep staff 24/7 onsite. Not even on call.
We had more than 20 active servers with them. Now just 2. And going to zero.
Cheap, but not good enough to recommend them.
It it's an older server it's going to be a pain in the ass regardless. The Java KVM applets on newer hardware IPMI like the AMD stuff works much better than some older SuperMicro E3's, etc.
Which AMD server you guy's recommend .
what's the error with interserver? Ipmi works great but does have some work arounds from my experience. If its an older server there panel launches https:// instead of http:// for example. I could help further just because ive had many servers with them over the years but not sure what trouble your experiencing.
Reliablesite is awesome BTW just wish they would revamp there storage lineup. Some people do more with the actual storage server that an e3 with 32gb ram is capable of now a days but want alot of storage.
Error I get is network error or session timed out , server I have is AMD Ryzen 9 5950X.
I used their intel servers.. and they were good. support was quick to fix things. price-wise they are affordable, though not super-cheap like low-end. But when you wanna buy dedis, better go with them.
I've only purchased their premium servers (meaning monthly plans over $150), and overall, I don't have much to complain about. There are occasional minor network issues, but they always respond quickly, so I don't consider it a problem. No downtime whatsoever.
I'm not sure if they're the absolute best, but overall, they're quite competitive across their locations. And I'd definitely buy from them again.
