@gsrdgrdghd - trace out of buyvm and see if it takes the same path, that's what would be the most interesting
Francisco
Hah, but see Snel:
also hopping across the pond over HE:
Something weird going on in europe atm
Hell no, it's jumping straight from SJ to Amsterdam on GBLX!
Christ, someones hiding hops <_<
Francisco
@Francisco here you go: http://pastebin.com/NF53CswK
The speed values are wget'ting the 100mb test file, no SSH tunneling or so.
From Bulgaria:
Not bad, considering the distance. About 190-200ms rtt.
Whatever that GBLX hop is, it's dropping >60% packets on a UDP traceroute.
To Milan, it's heading east over HE before jumping onto Seabone; to Estonia it's going exactly in reverse, crossing over eunet.
Don't use buyvm.net's test file as that's routed through the filtering now.
Use speedtest.buyvm.net

Forgot to add: from San Diego I'm getting 250-300 Mbps over Cogent :O. 10x faster compared to the same test in the OP! And seeing 50-80 Mbps to most of Europe is fantastic! Now when does KVM stock roll in....
Btw @Francisco, those two EU shells are still available so feel free to use them...
Thank you They were quite helpful in pleading my case to egi. A combo of them and the switches seems to have brought things back in line finally.
KVM stock is next week when Aldryic's back in action.
