SSD 2.5 DATA RECOVERY [HELP]
Hello,
So today one of my main ssd got stopped working. And I can't even detect it on my BIOS or everywhere.
Suggest me a best possible way to recover the data out of it.
And what are the success rate of recovering data if I go to any technician to fix that.
Most of the technician requires one day to asses the fault. I don't wants to give my drive to anyone to be honest. But any help or experience from this forum will help me a lot.

If you don't want someone to have your drive then you need to get an identical replacement drive to move the nand flash chips to to. But only a professional would be able to tell if that'd fix it.
Yeah one of the specialist told me same. But I am worried more about my data privacy.
As of now I only have 2 options, Either trust someone or consider my data lost.
Tried all the data recovery software. None of them is detecting my drive.

if the drive is not recognized by the BIOS or Linux anymore then you can consider the controller of the SSD being gone.
So the only thing that would be left is to move the datachips inside of the ssd to another ssd of exactly same brand, model, firmwareversion, ....
Thats for normal people a quiet unrealistic task, and for most data rescue technicians too.
Consider it lost, introduce some backup strategy to avoid similar issues in the future.
Except the data on it are of that high value that you are ready to invest some significant amount in its rescue ( or have more luck than you actually deserve for not having backups for important data while giving that to some cheaper technician who might be able to somehow get the data ).

No offense but didn’t you say you had OVH drives fail on you and we all suggested you keep regular backups? Did you not heed the advice then?
A rule I have learned, when something goes wrong with a drive, you should stop using it! just unplug it. do not try recovery software, etc yourself if you really value the data, and just give it to a professional. However, if the data is half-important/not very important, but just a bit important enough to try recovering it, and you want to DIY, then yes, try all the software you want.
DMDE and the likes, afaik only work (well) on HDD.
On a an SSD, you're probably shit out of luck.
Don't worry about data privacy, give it to them, the chance of them recovering anything is not even high, anyway, so probably they won't access any of your personal files. If the possibility of recovering anything from the SSD exists, it's probably gonna be by specialized data recovery services, not by just some advanced pc user.
Find your local PC-3000 partners that offer data recovery service in your area and check them out

You can try with ssd enclosure input and eject until it was detected
If the data is critical and you end up taking weekly backups, its entirely on you. Doesn't seem you have learned from same issues you faced a few weeks ago.

Only when you out a $ price on how important your data is, one would start looking at different backup options and frequencies
And at this day and age, major cloud providers provide several options to backup data with generous limits. And you don't even use these speaks volumes on how much you respect and value your data
I sincerely empathize on the predicament you are in. But you should definitely invest time and money in getting backups created with a short cadence if its super critical.
PS. Just realized you mentioned that the file was on desktop and i am guessing its running windows. Why wouldn't you setup one drive/ Google drive to sync the data? Its automatic and it works.
