Same price as BuyVM but only 75% storage and no BGP session.

Well, BuyVM is out of stock and we're still cheaper for >= 2GB plans.

EDIT: And we're using Ryzen 9000 whereas to my understanding BuyVM is Ryzen 5000.

Gotta have slabs to truly replace BuyVM.

  • A bit costly. Others are providing a lot more in the same price.

    2 core 9950x, 50gb, 6gb ram at 5.90 euro berohost

I think you should include more too to bring the same appeal.

Tough to compete with an EU provider. The prices are pretty reasonable for US host.

To be fair, it's a different location. Servers in Germany are generally cheaper (and good!). So it's understandable that the cost of servers in the US is more expensive compared to Germany.

This is no different than how bandwidth is expensive in Asia so services are priced accordingly.

EU providers will always have the cost advantage, at least for now. While from what I read power costs gone up in the EU, they have cheaper bandwidth than the US. Some EU countries also subsidize datacenters.

When I started Fourplex, I chose NYC mainly because I live in the NY metro area. If cost was the concern I would've colocated in Nocix Kansas City or Microtronix Ohio.

Yes, Microtronix is an excellent DC but customers also want good locations and NYC is more marketable than rural Ohio. There's a reason why LEB/LET VPS hosts left Buffalo for NYC/NJ.

    Done!

You may need to reboot your VPS for this to take effect. If you used a custom OS you'll need to resize your disk.

Do you have any plans for an EU location for the tunnel service? Also, /29 possible ?

At the moment, no. It could happen in the future.
