Hey all,
Looking for a VPS that I'm happy to sub to yearly. Mainly using it as a WG proxy for my game servers so I don't need anything fancy in the way of hardware. However, it needs to be based in London and have DDOS protection (which I understand is pretty common anyway). Would like a looking glass/test IP link as my ISP has decent ping to some London providers and others are routed weirdly (4ms vs 18ms for both extremes). Would be nice to have decent wad of bandwidth too since some game servers can be a little intensive (e.g. MC with Distant Horizons where LOD distribution can rack up bandwidth) - nothing extreme, like a constant 20 - 30 mbps on average but having just 1TB tx might be pushing it. Something like 5 - 10 would be chill. Budget of £20/yr.

at that price range it will be hard find a good ddos protection.
That's alright, probably should've specified but I'm not looking for anything fancy like PATH or CosmicGuard for L7 attacks. I just added it as I see lots of providers say they offer some mitigation over what I'd have at my home network.
Yes there is no in between usable and gimmick ddos protection.

Ah fair enough, I think for now I'm probably good to not really worry about any DDOS protection but if I had to in the future, what do you think is a fair price for a VPS with good protection?
I've tried OVH in the past but did have issues with a lot of downtime from the node I was put on. Did get compensation so it wasn't all bad but it was a bit annoying since this was over a few months.
They look pretty good and I actually did query them when I first joined LET but due to their datacentre being in Coventry, I get much higher ping to their VPS (about 25 - 30ms). Nothing wrong on their end, it's almost definitely the way I'm routed since everything beyond London is weirdly high.
