VPS without IP , what will be the lowend cost

Hey, im planning to run selenium python script on multiple vps nodes. Well i dont need any static ip going to use TAILSCALE. so the VPS cost will be reduced. Each node 2GB of RAM going to run script 24/7 with 1 min interval. So just want to know what will be lowend cost for that.

But the server needs to have a IP for you to connect to it ;)
Best thing you could do is lookout for IPv6 only servers, assuming IPv6 works for you.

If you are running selenium I assume you are going to scrape things. You need an IP to connect to the vps itself to set it up, then your vps needs an IP to connect to the websites you are scraping.

There are no vpses with no IPs.

    This isn't a web crawler?
IP is one of the cornerstones of the Internet.

well theres NAT, but if you're scraping you're going to piss off your neighbours sharing the IP, and if you go v6, you'll only have Tailscale over DERP which is slow, all to save $1

Mentally strong scrappers restart home router and toggle airplane mode periodically.

    nonsense fantasy dont read

"VPS without IP" could be doable if the VPS had IPv6 enabled and connections were dropped except those from/to your specified IP used for tunneling. BYOIP but GFW simulator.

I'm not entirely sure if this could mitigate abuse on the subnet, which would otherwise help reduce operational costs. One could DDoS their own tunnel for example.

The provider could grant a /64 per user, shared amongst all service (Would that trigger @yoursunny?). One IPv6 per machine. If you want two tunnels in one, pay extra, or buy 2^64 VPS to bypass the restriction.

It's not particularly complex, and I expect the cost would be comparable to NAT + IPv6. This will benefit absolutely no one and create more trouble for the uninitiated MJJ.

Or maybe the VPS doesnโ€™t have an IP, and you can only connect through VNC. No file transfer, just read and type or use the clipboard.

I think tailscale can make direct connection with IPv6 too, not always via DERP

Every device connect to internet need an IP to communicate. It can be static dedicate IPv4 (most common, almost VPS provider have it) but since IPv4 going to exhaust, some of provider provide shared IPv4 (NAT VPS) or IPv6 only (IPv6 like impossible to exhaust near future) with cheaper cost.

Maybe you can use NetBIOS or IPX

  • Well i dont need any static ip going to use TAILSCALE

But you need IP for connect to tailscale network

Best of your describe is NAT Server

Depending on what websites you gonna crawl, its might be a problem regarding cpu usage.
Also, depending on the IP block, websites might already ask for captcha.

There is a very high chance in NAT environments that the IP is already flagged.
Ideally, get a VPS with a dedicated IPv4, but IPv6 would do too, if the block is clean and the ASN/ISP isn't known to host bots and crawlers.

    Test the IP range before.

How about a server with a cross-connect to the target website?
This way the server doesn't need any public IP, not even NAT.

    VPS without RAM?

  • kkrajkkkrajk Member

Better get a dedicated and then make your own vps'

The cross connect itself would wipe out any savings from removing the IP address or asking the LE community in general lol

Just host a pc at your home and install proxmox then use SDN

    LOL

  • I have VPS to sell. Just send some money and I will host it for you but you will not be able to observe or influence it in any way. Dm for instructions.
