Looking for Gen5 NVMe, Ryzen 7/9, 10G VPS
Heya,
looking for 512G Gen5 NVMe, Ryzen 7/9 or similar CPU up to 6 or 8 vCore, 18-20G ram or similar VPS. 10G is a must. Hosted in EU.
Budget is ~50e/m, can stretch a bit but not too much.
Already tried avoro, hostbrr, looking for something that offers faster disk r/w speeds.
Comments
We'll have some offers in EU, US and APAC in the coming few weeks, with Gen5 NVMes and 40/100G network. What disk speeds are you after?
Sounds interesting. Any special offers?
Up to 6.00 GB/s total at 64k, ~4.5 GB/s at 1m, seq. r/w measured with fio.
Ideally I'm looking for similar or faster disk speeds.
What would be the price for such system in EU with you @hosthatch
do you have anything available as of this moment?
That is going to be tough, if not impossible to guarantee, on any shared disk in a virtualized environment. I have a few servers with Gen5 drives and generally the difference isn't that great once drives gets stressed.
What's your use case? That's incredibly specific. I am almost positive nothing requires this
Frankly if you need to squeeze all that perf out of hardware for whatever you are doing, and/or need consistent reliable disk speeds, then you should go with a dedicated server. Even VDSss won’t get you those numbers since other tenants can hammer the disk which will siphon your access.
Ask for a Ryzen dedi with 10G fair share port and Gen 5 NVMe. But as @wadhah mentioned, are you absolutely sure (with accurate profiling, etc) that you need these metrics to run whatever you’re running?
Smells like blockchain use case
You need to rent a dedicated server for it at least with 2x Gen.4/5 identical disk for YOLO-RAID
I don't think we'll be able to match that. This is what I see now, it might improve as we are still trying out some stuff.
Nothing at the moment, but hopefully towards the end of the month.
Thanks @hosthatch. sounds fine. Let's keep in touch at the end of the month. I'm up for checking it myself.
Hi,
We have the following in London that may be suitable.
KVM-R5-20
Ryzen 9 5950X
6 vCPU
20 GB
300 GB NVMe
10Gbps Uplink with 40TB/month
£36/month (42e/mo)
happy to work on this configuration with you if you need more bandwidth etc
we also have Ryzen 9950X available, might have to work with you in dms on that to get it to work for your stated thread budget.
