Looking for a cheap VPS with high single core performance

Hello,

I’m currently on the hunt for a VPS with high single-core performance and preferably ≥ 8GB RAM, located in North America. I’ve seen DeluxHost’s insane offering. A 7950X server with 3 cores, 8GB RAM, and an almost 3000 GB6 single-core score for €35/year…

Does something like that exist specs and pricing-wise (or at least close), but in North America? Perhaps any ongoing promos that are on the front page, but I've missed or old promos that are still in stock?

It might be very tough, the deal from DeluxHost is pretty crazy.

Enzonix's offer for 4c8g is pretty decent at $7.5/m or $6.25/m if paid annually.

8 GB is available on Linveo, although not for $60/yr. I have a grandfathered 75% annual discount code and even with that the 8 GB plan (with 8 vCPU and 200 GB nvme) is $100/yr (which IMO is a crazy price, ~$1/mo/vCPU).

The DeluxHost deal is also great but it's in the EU so the latency may be a dealbreaker.

OP needs to be realistic with their budget or their specs either way.

The plan is a great deal if people don't abuse it. On a full system that's 184 "theoretical" cores on a 16c/32t system. So really being on a super great single core performance CPU doesn't mean much for VPS in real world use. My normal plans are similar but it's why I don't usually give many cores on promo plans.

As long as OP's expectations are managed and don't need constant performance I'm sure it'll be great.

honestly would have preferred the extra 2gb ram, but the performance makes up for it i guess 😂
