huh?
Probably a taxes thing? Not sure
Remotely working from home (in India). Not remote as-in world wide.
Thanks for clarifying.
Can this be deleted ? Maybe post it on a indian forum.
Probably hard to find someone even in India who will work for <$1000 p.m. on an L2/L3 position.
I believe 5-10 LPA is the average Salary in India for something with 1-3 Years of experience in the general IT Industry here.
And seeing that the OP is fine with 1-4 Years of experience as well, It sounds fair to start with.
Or maybe because it's more affordable.
I'm interested. @wadhah chad can vouch for me. i'll send an email.
100%, @Protocol903 fixed a lot of my problems on my dedicated servers and he's wonderful to talk to
10 LPA. Remote. India. There will be plenty of applicants. Post this on LinkedIn or something, and their inbox would explode. Not an attractive prospect for corporate employees, but those who work in small ones, even 4 lpa would be a dream.
I believe the reason he posted this here is because he needs people with Hosting industry specific experience.
Pakistan allowed
?
That's probably it.
Rs 15LPA and willing to switch from cPanel to Virtualmin and I'm down.
Yo yo yo. 148-3 to the 3 to the 6 to the 9, representing DigiRDP, what up, B?
Excuse me, we're curious??
Salary Range: ₹5 LPA – ₹10 LPA, how much would this be in dollars?
I google this, is it $1-2 an hour?
There's plenty of Indians using LowEndTalk, I appreciate this post T_T
Hi,
LPA == “Lakhs Per Annum.”
And
1 Lakh == 100k INR ( Indian Rupee )
And
100k INR ~ 1050 EUR or ~ 1100 USD
So we talk here about 5000 - 11000 EUR / USD per year
But this whole search makes actually no sense.
Their requirement is quiet broad ( Windows, Linux, Network, Automation, Virtualization, Raid config, Plesk, Cpanel ... ) what the applicant should bring.
But they are searching for applicants with 1 year experience?
1 year? I know what people can do after 1 year experience. And you will not have to expect anything good coming from there if you let them write ansible scripts to rollout in your clusterfarm... +)))
So actually they are asking for a senior with 10 years experience and offer a payment that fits to this 1-4 year window, actually they could even offer less for 1 year experience and would still get people.
But well, these would be basically trainee's... peoples you will have to invest 2 years before you can assume they will not burn down the data of your customers....
At least thats my experience, maybe i was just lucky
Freshers are working here for 2.5LPA
Its a work from home. So he can stay in village by paying rent like 2000Rs per month and living peaceful life. Not everyone offering this and i see many peoples stay in top tier city with this salary.
It was just a question because in the United States we don't see that salary, it caught our attention and we see that there are actually several companies that hire this type of support in India or some like #fake hire agents but they give them vacation time the first week, that's why it caught our attention!!

You can even hire 0.5$/hr for freshers in india. So they can learn and adapt accordingly. They wont leave if its a Work from home job 😁
We take it into account, it really catches our attention. Personally,
I think we'll travel to India in a few months and post some photos!
This cost only applies if you directly deal with the person. If you go through middle agent or agency then agent will charge 1$ per hour and give 0.5$ to fresher 😅 thats how service based companies taking billions of profits by hiring dirt cheap in india.
Thank you very much for the information. Are you from there?
Are computer engineers who know their field really allowed to charge that amount of $0.50 - $1 per hour?
That's pretty normal for job postings, you see what comes in, and take the best match you can get.
The actual required skills, last portion of the post, was pretty light. The rest is just bonus, as I read it.
For freshers, yes it is.
There's a billion people out there, so even if you do not agree to work at that wage, thousands others will be ready. Just the sad reality and why more and more US companies open base in India.
It really caught our attention and it's something that has to do with our reality. We already bought our plane ticket to travel to India. I will personally take care of this. It's something unbelievable, but I will see it in person in September. We will clear up any doubts. Thank you all so much and excuse me for interrupting this post.
They are doing so. But for fresher dont expect much like good English. But they will sit for hours and learn. You need to assess the university marks if its 60% to 70% then they are good 😅 thats how filtering system is working. Even some low level companies asking freshers to pledge the original degree certificate's for 5 years of contract stating that they are spending certain amounts to train them 😅
Excuse me if I interrupt this post.
Can you give us examples of American companies that use this type of office? We see that Hostgator has an office/headquarters in India, and there are data centers. Can we say that India personally uses local services or looks for servers in the US/Europe?
Excuse me if I interrupt this post
