Skhron Review 2025 Cheap Vps Sweden SEO keywords etc

emghemgh Member, Megathread Squad

Hello nerds,

I got a very decent VPS from Skhron

You might have seen me respond to anything @tentor posted for like a year with something like "$2 pls", this server is him finally caving to my very resonable demands

To be very fair, he asked for a review in return, but, I got to keep the VM at current pricing no matter if the review is good or bad (I wouldn't have accepted anything else)

And, to be even more fair, I got this server in April, and I asked if he wanted me to post some initial impressions or something a little bit more extensive sometime later, and he said that a week would be fair, and here I am and it's almost June, and he has yet to remind me to post this review

Although, Apple Reminders have been going on and on and on about it so just like @tentor - I'm finally caving into the pressure

Honestly, I have no complaints at all. I haven't noticed any downtime even though I've used it quite a lot. It's not running anything publicly facing, but since I love the direct SSH key response (due to the low latency) it's my goto server for running Python scripts overnight and stuff like that

I did some experiments in regards to domain snap backing, and had to code something up to query Free as fast as possible (http://free.iis.se). This is the server I got with the lowest latency to IIS so it found its use-case almost right away

In summary, very pleased with the server and its performance and uptime, as well as with the "exotic" location that I think is Obenet in Kista. I have always enjoyed my little discussions with @tentor and I think it's fair to say that he's a smart guy running a tight ship. Skhron is one of several providers on here that tend to go under the radar somewhat, probably because it hasen't been involved in enough drama, which, of course, is a good sign

I won't do a deep dive with benchmarks etc because quite frankly, I find them boring and I don't think they really say a lot about the provider. It's a VPS, resources are virtual and they will differ over time, however, I'll of course post a YABS
