Do you use cloudflare, and if so, do you use CF Proxying?

my gay porn website is behind cf proxy but you can still find my servers ip on censys idk why

If you are using nginx, add "ssl_reject_handshake on;" to your default server block with 443 enabled to prevent IP leakage

Also recommend reading this article, very detailed and helpful: https://kazamasion.medium.com/methods-to-prevent-leaking-websites-origin-server-ip-behind-cdn-2dbcf1dd444c

I use cloudflare to host my domain name. Zero trust tunnels can reverse the node. In addition, cloud flare worker is very easy to use and can be used to deploy some projects.

  • I'm running my Nezha monitor behind CF proxy. It adds an extra 20ms to the latency, and I think there's probably no real benefits to this other than hiding the IP of my VPS. But I guess it's kinda cool.

  • I'm currently using Cloudflare for several customer sites, primarily for its DNS performance, DDoS protection, and caching. For most of them, I do have the proxy (orange cloud) enabled, so yes, effectively using their reverse proxy/MITM functionality. It’s been solid overall, though I’m mindful of potential edge case issues with caching and header manipulation.

Of course, I use CF primarily for my domains, as a free DNS service. But I also use CF public DNS service in my home router. I am very pleased.
