Looking for Cheap VPS ~$5/month in Singapore

RoqimonRoqimon Member

Hi all,

Looking for a cheap VPS or server (~$5/month or less) in Singapore , preferably with these specs:

CPU: 3 vCore
RAM: 4 GB
Storage: 40 GB NVMe
Port: At least 1 Gbps
Location: Singapore
Open to Linux VPS , KVM , or bare metal as I plan to install Windows myself

If you have something matching, or know a good reseller/provider that offers this, feel free to PM me or comment here.

Thanks! 😊

You can look at RackNerd, GreenCloudVPS, or HostHatch. They sometimes have VPS deals in Singapore that match your needs, especially during sales. Also, keep checking LowEndTalk. I recently saw a similar offer.

Just FYI, GreenCloud does not allow Windows on their non-Windows servers; your servers will be suspended if they find you do so.

    Thanks, I'll check them out!
(Though I’ve used HostHatch before and the performance wasn't satisfying β€” Geekbench scores were quite low for their "dedicated core" claims.)

    it's definitely an attractive offer.
However, as mentioned by @dedipromo earlier, just a heads-up that GreenCloud doesn't allow Windows installations on their non-Windows plans.

We back up those claims too, and are happy to look into it and resolve any issues. May I ask what plan you had and what geekbench numbers you saw that were not satisfying?

    Thanks for reaching out!

I was on the NVMe plans - APAC , and while running Geekbench 6 via YABS, I got single-core scores under 900 (~850 average). Given the "1 dedicated core" description, I was expecting something closer to ~1200+ (based on other EPYC nodes).

No complaints β€” just wanted to note it for others who might be considering the same plan. Happy to share more info if needed!

Thank you for the mention guys. We do not allow the installation of Windows on our KVM VPS due to various reasons.
@Roqimon if you can increase your budget a little bit you can take a look at our Windows VPS Sale here with Windows license included: https://greencloudvps.com/billing/store/windows-vps-sale
We use Hyper-V virtualization, which offers better performance compared to other virtualizations and our Windows VPS plans have no CPU restrictions.

Hi, click on KVM Standard VPS > Singapore Area and it should show. It’s only available in this region and not in any others.

Runs WinServer 2016 surprisingly well β€” fast disk, smooth RDP.
$4/mo in Singapore is already good, but would be awesome with a yearly option πŸ˜„
