@LiteServer is prem.
Been a customer since 2017.
You could tattoo the IP if you have difficulty remembering it. I presume password managers or even Notes app or something hasn't worked for you?
Short answer… it is called DNS
imagine tattooing IP address of your VPS and it gets changed when provider's lease period ends
I have a lot of skin and tattoo machines are 30$ on aliexpress
Shit... I can even remember my first website's IP back in 2009: 188.241.14.2
Ofc, the subnet was sold and resold since then, but man... I can't really forget any IP range I worked at least 2-3 days with.
Am I broken?!
When the IP change mail comes in:
Acquire Google, and 8.8.8.8 will be yours!Good luck!
Then it's time for another tattoo
Why not acquire Cloudflare? 1.1.1.1 sounds easier to me.
start from here
https://ipinfo.io/ips
checks ASNS and ROUTERS numbers
most possibly you can find something in the range you are interested in.
if you find something please share and subscribe
LOL! Good idea.
For IPv4:
SonicFast @Neil-SF advertised 2.56.8.0/24 subnet.
https://lowendtalk.com/discussion/167234/limited-quantity-19-year-kvm-vps-in-uk-free-100-gbps-anti-ddos
@Dasabo acquired SonicFast.
Do they still sell from this subnet?
For IPv6:
Contact your LIR for the first /48 of their /32.
You can get as short as eight hexadecimal digits like
2606:4700::.Am I understanding the req correctly?
People here are bargaining on price, price of the machine.
OP is demanding an easy and fancy IP, plus a VPS.
So, you are buying a lucky number, not a working if not for entertainment purposes, tool.
As I know, the best IP is 1.1.1.1, simple, lucky, hard to forget.
8.8.8.8 & 1.1.1.1 are ready to use. Nikipe ( Just Use It ✔️).
6.9.6.9
Even if Cloudflare didn't own 1.1.1.1, imagine seeing that 2 core 512mb VPS die from the amount of garbage traffic!
foursome
How is dns more centralized than ip? You don't really own either one.
We own IPv9, all of them.
Stinky monopolist
I don't want to know how many ICMP request it'll receive each second.
No, we do not have access to this subnet.
I used to have the IPv4 address 8.9.5.23 and 8.12.17.17 reserved at Vultr. There were a few Vultr customers with single digit IPs as well which I had managed to find. I liked them because they were easy to remember, so I kept them reserved.
However, 2 months ago, Vultr announced that all IPs from the 8.X.X.X range would be removed since their subnets were apparently being reclaimed. At their scale, I would have expected them to fully own their blocks, but it's alright.
Hetzner has some good IP ranges like 88.99.0.0/16 , 23.88.0.0/17 , 5.9.0.0/16 , 91.99.0.0/16
If I were you, I would buy a domain. This way you don't have to remember any numbers, you just type in the domain name.
