You're both determining your latency to APAC based on a single test...

There's not-so perfect routes in some cases, yeah, but that kinda happens with any provider. No one can have perfect latency everywhere, even AWS has weird routing.

Yeah, I am kinda ok with the other side of planet but Asia is a bit slow I would say.

That is just one end point... There maybe better connectivity with other end points. Doesn't say much either but it should raise an eyebrow and maybe you should test other connectivity to Asia and provide that data...

Hi, most of the tests you provided are in completely different regions and the results are as expected with default Linux config with window size and buffers due to the latency.

    Erm...

    Leaseweb | Singapore, SG (10G) | 1.78 Gbits/sec | 1.06 Gbits/sec | 298 ms

I would think singapore to be better as this looks like we're going across the Southern Cross cable to the states... Then to Japan then to Singapore (and maybe Hong Kong as a intermediary)...

This i think would maybe raise an eyebrow ;)

That's only on IPv6. IPv4 is as expected.

Will be fixed in the coming weeks. Host Universal is currently in the middle of a network rebuild.

Not really... (Unless you're not talking about my reply, I did clarify in another post anyway).

Lease web has kinda looked a little messy from AS64073... This is just the worst example...

Oracle cloud is much worse if we want to start comparing.

Either way glws and it's good to see my next door neighbor offering good stuff... I wish I was in the market for an Aussie VPS.

Nope I copied that from the v4 iperf3 block of that post. Looks jank but that could be a side effect of host universal doing a rebuild as you say.

That's from the YABS script, line 839...

Don't ask me! I'm just an observer... Why that iperf3 test saw 289ms is a great mystery unless the YABS script when doing v4 testing is resolving the target via a v6 path... Then that would answer it... And should be a GitHub issue...

Ah, I see, you extrapolated the path from the latency not a trace. I thought there was a trace that showed a different path and just wanted to get to the bottom of it. All good :)

    Yeah, I imagine it's preferring IPv6.

That's pretty normal for Australia. One day we have 98ms ping to Singapore, next minute 200ms. West Coast US is always way more consistent, even with GSL links to Asia.
