You're both determining your latency to APAC based on a single test...

There's not-so perfect routes in some cases, yeah, but that kinda happens with any provider. No one can have perfect latency everywhere, even AWS has weird routing.
That is just one end point... There maybe better connectivity with other end points. Doesn't say much either but it should raise an eyebrow and maybe you should test other connectivity to Asia and provide that data...
That's only on IPv6. IPv4 is as expected.
Will be fixed in the coming weeks. Host Universal is currently in the middle of a network rebuild.
Not really... (Unless you're not talking about my reply, I did clarify in another post anyway).
Lease web has kinda looked a little messy from AS64073... This is just the worst example...
Oracle cloud is much worse if we want to start comparing.
Either way glws and it's good to see my next door neighbor offering good stuff... I wish I was in the market for an Aussie VPS.
Nope I copied that from the v4 iperf3 block of that post. Looks jank but that could be a side effect of host universal doing a rebuild as you say.
Interesting, which IP did you test against? I tested using speedtest.sin1.sg.leaseweb.net
speedtest.sin1.sg.leaseweb.net
That's from the YABS script, line 839...
Don't ask me! I'm just an observer... Why that iperf3 test saw 289ms is a great mystery unless the YABS script when doing v4 testing is resolving the target via a v6 path... Then that would answer it... And should be a GitHub issue...
@trewq
Ticket #585751 thx~ doubled,doubled,doubled
Ah, I see, you extrapolated the path from the latency not a trace. I thought there was a trace that showed a different path and just wanted to get to the bottom of it. All good
Yeah, I imagine it's preferring IPv6.
Sorted!
That's pretty normal for Australia. One day we have 98ms ping to Singapore, next minute 200ms. West Coast US is always way more consistent, even with GSL links to Asia.
Any plan for accepting crypto?
No plans. The accounting and tax side of adding another currency (not just crypto) is too much additional overhead for the time being.
TIL the CSIRO created a $7 note
https://csiropedia.csiro.au/polymer-banknotes/
Looking forward to upgrading
Just read it again, gotta submit ticket for double
Aw missed the 2gb
Any ideas on next location?
Perth, Brisbane, or outside of Australia like Singapore?
Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth are next on the list. Not sure on actual timelines yet.
^ This guy's more ambitious than the NRL right now
I low-key want a Brisbane VPS so I can be close to @beanman109 - virtually
have you ever considered.......ahm...physically?
I want a Brisbane VPS so I can stop routing in Sydney
Can I get a recurring discount if I pinky promise to knock on the Melbourne dc door one day
It will take time, that place is like at least 100ms latency from everywhere else
Perth would be nice
I've got multiple Singapore VPS so it's only fair
Nice, just need to mention Brisbane and sales get pumping. Don’t even need to offer services there.
Fraud Growth Rate.
@FAT32 how do I delete someone else's message
