IPV6 only servers from Ploi

I no longer have my subscription with Ploi, but I may renew after this email today! Is anyone else aware of any IPv6-only server management panels (Enhance are working on this)

The Email reads:
Oh boy, this is a big one! 🔥

It’s been widely requested, repeated: when is full IPv6 support coming in Ploi? (https://roadmap.ploi.io/projects/1-server-level-requests/items/2-ipv6-support)

As of today, it is now possible to create servers with IPv6 (obviously, only if the native server provider offers it). Also, if your old server has an IPv6 address, you could even decide to move over to IPv6 via your server settings (and disable IPv4 if you don’t need that at all).

Important: to use IPv6 at all, you will need to have an IPv6 address on your side as well if you want to interact with your server, otherwise, it will not work (connecting via SSH or to the domain you’ve added to your server). Check if you have IPv6 here: https://ploi.io/what-is-my-ip

On Ploi’s side, both subjects (server connections and NGINX configurations) have been updated to work with IPv6.

What providers work with IPv6?

Basically, all supported providers work with IPv6; it’s just a matter of provisioning the server that’s different.

UpCloud: Works completely
Hetzner: Works completely
Amazon: Works completely
Vultr: Works completely
DigitalOcean: Works, but you always get an IPv4 record as well; it is not possible yet to create IPv6-only servers
Hostinger: Works, but you always get an IPv4 record as well; it is not possible yet to create IPv6-only servers
Linode: Works, but you always get an IPv4 record as well; it is not possible yet to create IPv6-only servers
Katapult: Works, but you always get an IPv4 record as well, it is not possible yet to create IPv6-only servers
How do I make my current server IPv6 compatible?

If your server provider supports IPv6, it is possible to make your current already-provisioned servers IPv6-ready. We have a guide to follow if you want to make sure your server is IPv6 ready: https://ploi.io/documentation/server/how-do-i-make-my-existing-ubuntu-server-ipv6-ready
