Anyone up for aquire a Shared Hosting Business?

Hello,
I have been running a shared web hosting company for 9 years, and it is profitable, but now the cpanel prices are high, and I cannot manage the service as I have moved to some other services.

So, if anyone wants to acquire a shared hosting service, let me know; it's a registered business in India. More details in inbox. My asking price is $14000, so please, if you have a large enough budget, then you can contact me.

Care to share details, such as income, costs.

    This may save wasteful messages.

I would like to not to post them publically if someone intersted then I will.

  • Dont worry nothing is fishy here, I am just unable to manage the service anymore.

You do not need to give exact info

    Just things like

    costs approx x per month
    income approx x per month

This just gives an idea, some companies I took over stated they had X income in 12 months but kept deeply hidden how they arrived at that income for the previous 12 months.

overall details will be key for anyone here

Asking price is too high for me to even think.
Must be a well known brand. Good luck for your sale :)

Exactly; someone might have a large income over the past 12 months because they sold lifetime plans as exit from market.

Information is required, especially if a business from India wants that kind of money. Besides $14k in India is a lot of money because living in India is much cheaper when compared to west-european countries.

I am curious about the brand though. What brand are we talking about? The member of opening post is not a provider on LET to figure this out.

    Hello,
I am currently running a shared hosting service with cpanel, but now the price has increased, and I am unable to make profit; I have around 2000+ cpanel accounts, So I have two questions:

    1. I want to shift to DirectAdmin with lower price + Cpanel with higher price (Your take on it)
    2. What kind of security measures do I need to take for shared hosting?
    3. How to improve website loading speed (Mostly uses wordpress)

Need Help, Please let me know!

  • It sounds like you have a well-established shared hosting business that could be a great opportunity for someone looking to enter the market.

Yes, I think who is willing to buy my company is not a dumb person!; he/she will check all the details before buying my company. So thanks for your investigation.

Yes but it needs a good management guy who can manage and increase the profits.

Yes, because I resell the server, and I think for sellers, it's mandatory to have an AS number. so thats why I am not a provider.

  • This is like asking VC for funding but asking them to sign NDA without any pitch deck, no info of founder etc.

There are quite a few red flags:

    1. Asking $14k without any proof as to why this amount.
    2. cPanel price is a profit issue at the moment.
    3. Needs a buyer with good management skills (who already pays $14k)
    4. Needs a buyer who can increase profits (which needs increasing).
    5. He already talked with his customers.
    6. Selling something which should already be profitable (in India).

Yes, I guess I'll call it: the end is nigh on this one. I just don't know in who's name should I make the popcorn.

  • He probably means 14000 rupee.
