You didn't had to remove my email address, it just was just a power move to be spiteful.
Furthermore, on a repeat basis, you kept on claiming I'm not trustworthy, which is quite outrageous & disrespectful (given the fact you don't even know me, nor have hired my services previously) so you're not talking from experience, yet have no problem with claiming I'm not trustwoirthgy, which just isn't right
Wow
Delulu is the new solulu.
Sorry, quoted the wrong post^
meant to quote angstrom 's
@angstrom
Bro at least show some works
You go straight up to advertise without showing any .... thing.
Edit: I also have 15+ years experience in being a kiddo.
@nghialele I don't do web design or things of the like, so providing some kind of profolio is easier said than done. Regardless, the default should always be to give people the benefit of the doubt and not outright distrust em. When you order a new electrician/tv tech/computer tech/ac tech, can you automatically vouch for em? You can't, not even if you go to a new barber or a dentist, still, you need to give em the benefit of the doubt. Many people in this world would've been completely out of jobs if complete distrust was the norm
I totally understand your point, but are you aware of what in these two lines from @angstrom that you have missed?
NghiaGPT summary this: you are not active enough to build trust and offering services today.
Don't even bother man. Just give him a "Highly Regarded" tag and be done with it.
Is this what you say when women reject your advances?
More drama, more popcorn..... There are bullies but the peeps who commented on this thread till yet aren't one.
First of all, you came to a forum. Publicly offering your services you can expect that there are always people that have a go on you. Chances are bigger when your contributions to the forum have been limited.
The worst way of reacting to that is exactly what you did: go against it, and positioning yourself as being mistreated. And then also to a moderator: bonus points.
Now back to your offer. Only saying you have x years of experience doesn't say something. I mean, I'm having 40 years of Linux experience of which 35 years as a sysadmin. It only says something if I mention the environments I've worked in, software/distributions I've used, etc.
But hey, you can be very knowledgable. So I'm gonna look what you've contributed to this forum (as said: that's limited) and I come across this answer from you:
Well, from my experience you can. You have to be a bit lucky, don't do maintenance reboots, but it is possible. I once had a machine that had an uptime of 4 years and a bit.
100% uptime with a single server is not likely though. The devil's in the detail. Trust comes from people who can relate to your knowledge and kan see that your knowledge/way of communicating is trustworthy.
Thanks for the HA for Dummies lecture.
Everything depends on what you want to do with it. 1G RAM can be perfectly fine for quite a number of uses on a Linux host. You should know that. Wanting 4G anyway if your not likely to benefit from it is a bit "the Microsoft way".
Don't know in what age you live, but I'm living in 2025 and saying that you "won't have any email issues" when you have an open port 25... ahem...
All in all: if I'd be searching for a Linux sysadmin you wouldn't pass my simple test.
You'll probably think I'm bullying you too, but I'm not. I'm trying to explain to you that trust and reputation are everything and you have to build that. You don't do that by reacting the way you do. And I don't give my keys to the first guy that I walk across that says "I'm trustworthy" so prove first that you are knowledgable and honest.
Maybe you could demonstrate your skills by writing a good tutorial from your own experience not cut and paste nor chatgpt.
As I told you in a DM, we remove email addresses if we see them
I didn't claim that you're not trustworthy
I asked why anyone here should trust you, given that you don't have an established (positive) reputation here
Saying that someone isn't trustworthy isn't the same as asking why others should trust that person
Perhaps you're not trustworthy -- I don't know -- but I can ask why others should trust you
Mods should not discuss their judgement with those judged. Just press “gtfo” button, community will thank you latter.
IPv6 Advocate: Bully scammers to include IPv6
Scammers call IPv6 a shitcoin
This entire thread goes to show the very exsistance of "mob mentality". Few bullies pitched in, and the rest joined em. And of course the mods are okay with it, as they're part of the gang.
@angstrom Saying something with the logic of "I just do it", similar to "I just blink" isn't really sufficient, and sounds like an excuse to do whatever and not provide any proper explanation. And regardless of playing with semantics, you did casted doubt on my trustworthyness time and time again (without even having a justifiable cause!) it's not like you know me or worked with me before. All in all, I'm very disappointed from this forum, lowend all the way, not just in the domain name.
So a random guy walks into IKEA and says, “Listen to me, everyone, I have these magical pieces of metal that can keep wooden pieces together without glue. They’re called nails. I’ve been selling them for 15 years.” And then he goes around arguing with people and acting all entitled and shit.
That comparison is not even remotely similar, and out of touch with reality.
And I'm not entitled, I'm just calling a spade a spade. I came here and posted an ad for my services, kept it short and sweet, then I've gotten people like you (bullies) falling on me like raindrops!
Good luck then!
There, you said it. This is how your offer sounds to the people here, in case you didn’t understand why you’re being ridiculed left and right. Probably try some SEO forums or elsewhere where people are less technically knowledgeable and naive.
Dude you don't even understand what a word @angstrom say.
That may have been @Void , not me
And his too.
Anyway…. really weak for a weekend drama.
I'm out. Watching F1, and waiting for Calin to update on his new blanket.
Good luck finding customer OP and be more active in the forum, maybe try starting some tutorials on sysadmin?
Reguards,
Perhaps you’d be asked to pay for the patron tag before advertising anything?
He doesn't look like he is willing to work for $7/year
No, you're calling every contributor in a forum thread you started that don't agree with you a bully. People in a discussion who don't agree with you aren't necessarily bullys.
oh jesus fvcking christ, you haters~~~
maybe i am the only one seriously reply your post ,OP
from the "job" you recommend in your post, they just look like for rookies, and i think most people here are NOT rookies, of course you can offer your service here, but not those kind of services, i believe ChatGPT can do better job than you on those things your mentioned
i recommend your try fiverr.com, it's for non-tech people buy tech services
So... Since OP was obliterated, anyone interested check my upwork profile. (Mwhahahaha)
