Recommendation for VPN

Hey there! I currently have a cheap box at 3.5USD/mo and running Tailscale on it. I only use it for VPN purposes, so I was wondering if there is somebody who offers managed Wireguard or OpenVPN with a static non-shared IP for less than the 3.5USD I'm paying right now.

Thanks!

i believe Static non-shared IP cost more than $3.5/mo :D

  • That can't be the case since i currently have 1 whole machine, 1GB of RAM, 1vCPU and a lot of bandwidth with a non-shared IP for 3.5USD

YES, you can have a $.99/mo VPS with static IP, but you can not find any VPN service provider offer you static IP with low price, i remember they usually charge dedicated IP for $4+, some even with terms, like 2 years contract

    Keep it then?

TorGuard frequently do promos and seem to have one currently for $20USD a year with a dedicated or residential IP (have to pay yearly) - https://torguard.net/vpn-promo/

I’ve found them ok in the past, and their supports always super quick. Incredibly so in fact…usually got a response within 10 minutes. They support both Wireguard and OpenVPN.

Can’t comment on logging policies etc. My use case is more about geo-restrictions to access shopfronts than anything.

Believe their plans all do renew at the same price you sub for unlike a few other VPN providers that do low deal first year. My services have anyway.
