Seeking secure VPS hosting with cPanel

gracietgraciet Member

Hi all, I'm looking to transition from my current hosting provider to a more secure VPS hosting solution that includes cPanel. These are my requirements:

Number of cores: 2
RAM: 4 GB
Disk Space: 100 GB
Disk Type: SSD
Bandwidth: 2 TB
Port Speed: 1 Gbps

of IPs: 1

Location: United States
Budget: Looking for about $100/month, but willing to spend more for the right provider

My priorities are security and reliability. Any recommendations are greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Your budget is WAY TOO HIGH for this. You can get 3 dedicated servers for that price from reputable providers.

Are you looking for a managed solution?

  • Problem is how many account do you need for the cpanel license? base on the requirement, I guess is 1 to 5 accounts?

    Maybe DigitalOcean or Vultr?
Edit: Anyway I don't know what are your requirements! I am not sure if you want to install everything yourself or managed service. Others will hopefully guide you.

Budget is solid. Sent you a PM.
Our 16GB BF deal is far under your budget even with the highest cpanel added.

Please do me a favour and change the navigation sidebar text colour; it's dark grey/blue as a background with black text and the conteast is a little lacking. Thanks in advance :)

Actually the website design is little bad. This wasn’t updated since 2019 or older. We have a developer working on a complete website redesign right now.

Yes, managed. I also realize now that I put 4 GB RAM, but I meant 24 GB. I know that looks a bit unbalanced with just 2 cores, but I’m running memory-heavy apps with light CPU demands, mostly caching layers, containers, and self-hosted tools. So for me, uptime, security, and stability take priority.

I get that $100/mo sounds high, but I’m okay paying a bit more for a managed setup that’s reliable and doesn’t require constant babysitting. It's also been a while since I've been in the market for a new hosting provider, so I was expecting higher prices like seemingly everything else in the last 5 years ;) Obviously would love to save money though. If you know providers that can meet that kind of use case, I’d really appreciate the recs!

Gotcha, now it makes a bit more sense :D

Here are some recommendations from providers I tried and trust wholeheartedly, I'm not sure that they can provide you with a managed solution but you probably need to get in contact with them nonetheless.

@crunchbits ( @sh97 ) are premium (for reasonable prices). They are US based. This would be my first choice.

@host_c for EU, they usually deal with more storage based stuff but I'm sure they can get you a 24 gig ram bad boy that isnt cpu intensive.

@kuroit ( @ManishPant ) They have US, EU and Asia stuff. I haven't been with them for long but from what I can see they seem professional and their servers are top notch. They have the newest and greatest (am5, ddr5 memory) if you require that.

Good luck mate! If you have any other questions you can DM me or post here.

    How about managed shared/reseller hosting?

Our Crate plans are high resources and are pretty sweet. cPanel, if you choose. We also have a managed SQL service coming in the next week or two if you need something like that.

Really appreciate the rec, thank you.

We don't do cPanel but the guy above me does a real good job at that. @NameCrane for fast cPanel servers from a proven provider.
