    Indeed... Here you go...

Test IP for IPv6 for our Netherlands location - 2a0f:ca80::1d
Test IP for IPv6 for our Kansas location - 2604:4300:a:19e::2

@FAT32 would be great if you could edit the post to add the above two within the original thread starter

    /64 prefix?

    /64 prefix?

We can offer a /64 prefix at our Amsterdam, Netherlands location and a /112 prefix at our Kansas City, USA location

  • yoursunnyyoursunny Member, IPv6 Advocate

/64 is the smallest sensible IPv6 sub-assignment size but your allocation size is even smaller.
Therefore, you are being added to the upcoming IPv6 less than /64 Hall of Incompetence, now accepting submissions.

    @yoursunny said: Incompetence

not sure the reason of serving /122 on that location is due to incompetence, and not because of they themself have low amount there. ๐Ÿค”

Also, not sure it is considered as something that can route traffic, so not that it really needs /64.

and, by the way, in cases where hoster should give you /64, it also must route that /64 to the additional IPv6 address (the onne you'll set up on host) from additional /64 or at least /127 (your host + hoster router).
Otherwise it is, again, not so much reason of having that /64 ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ

I think you should provide a shared ipv4 exit

Well we have taken one big step of begining to offer IPv6 to our VPS customers, so i hope you can atleast remove SmokyHosts from the ones not offering IPv6.

For the rest of the expectation of /64 being the smallest possible allocation size is a debatable topic considering ideally just one IP is more than enough to access a VPS or the hosted application.

    Not a valid excuse.
Ask your upstream to give more address space.
If they refuse, the upstream is incompetent, switch to different upstream.

Also, not sure it is considered as something that can route traffic, so not that it really needs /64.

Will do when you announce all existing VPS and shared hosting plans that have IPv4 can also add IPv6.
According to our records, some are in ColonCrossing.

Its debated through RFCs and consensus /64 is smallest for software support.
