Greencloud Review - a fantastic provider

It's been a while since I last posted a review about Greencloud, so I figured I'd do another one.

First: YABS for their EPYC-VDS-5 (heavily abridged to be less than 2000 characters)

Multi Core | 7358

Now for the main part of the review:

Performance: The YABS tells most of the story, but I've also never had CPU steal, and performance doesn't go down substantially over time as the host node fills, so the actual result is definitely better than the YABS.

Uptime: Incredible. I don't remember ever having unscheduled downtime or random restarts.

Customer service: I don't expect much on the low-end (<2 weeks response time is fine by me), but Greencloud has the best support I've used bar none. I can send a ticket and get an answer in 2 min, and since I usually ticket in for mundane stuff, my issue usually gets resolved at that point. Also @NDTN helps me out with custom stuff .

Everything else: My last review: https://lowendtalk.com/discussion/171349/first-impressions-of-greencloudvps#latest

I still stand by everything I said in that review. Fantastic impressions then, and fantastic impressions now.

I think that might've been the first Greencloud review on LET .

    4 years

  • Their ticket response speed is the fastest I have ever seen. No matter when, they always reply as soon as possible, and almost every response I receive is satisfactory.

No. They only use their network (and maybe colocation) in some locations.
    Greencloud is 365 Group LLC.

Ooo, so they do not own network gear and ASN. Hm, a classic reseller. I thought that those types are long gone due to thin margins. In order to maximize profit you need to own at least IP space.

We own all network equipment and servers. At some data centers, we utilize both their rack space and transit, so there's no need to announce our own ASN there. Given our scale, it's not possible to own all of our IP space, but we currently own more than half, acquired both through direct assignment and by purchasing multiple IP ranges—some of which cost over $50 per IP.
