Open a dedicated issue to ask. Those are templated answers and they won't answer you since they are probably dealing with 3000 tickets and can't spend 2 seconds reading

(because they will get fired/less money, not shitting on support people)

    Only found this.

VPS customers are expected to monitor their usage and utilize our services in a manner that is considered fair share and not abusive to the Disk I/O or CPU. If you require dedicated resources and want to max it out, we would recommend getting your own dedicated server (feel free to contact our sales team for a discounted quote).

Anything related to cryptocurrency mining, email spamming, bruteforce attacks, outbound DDoS, CPU mining, and Traffic Exchange are not allowed on our platform.

Basically, don't do so much that other customers on the machine will notice.
I'm assuming they have no numbers, so I guess random busrt are fine from time to time, as long as it's not very often or you don't have long high CPU/Disk I/O usage.
    Be a good neighbor.

@dustinc definitively has but won't say as it is bad for marketing (I know it from my own experience)

    uhh i see

  • I asked dustin about a month ago about their cpu usage policy.
    The response I got:

We believe in fair share, we actually don't have a set limit per say but we do closely monitor our nodes, internally with a custom coded scripts, along with third party monitoring such as Hetrix, we've also developed a lot of internal tools that help with performance, etc.

At the end of the day, we ensure our customers have the ability to burst resources, though if end users plan on sustained 24x7 usage (hammering CPU 24x7 etc) this typically results in them being told we're not a good fit for a VPS but rather a dedicated server. I truthfully can say we've had part ways with a VPS customer less than a dozen times, and about only a handful have been told to take a look at their VM (to see if they have been compromised).

We do everything well, and our end users have been quite respectful. If I had to give a general rule of thumb, I'd say as long as your average CPU utilization (when averaged out over a one month period) remains at or below 30% - there should be no problems. If you feel that your usage will align well with what I had just described, then go ahead and proceed as intended, and if we notice any issues with your utilization we will reach out to you, and work with you accordingly.

It's true. I've learned to only ask one question or for one action per ticket, otherwise everything else you've asked for will be ignored. Their support is really quick, but they have this quirk.

Again i'm not shitting on the support staff. Their workload is INSANE. if you ever worked as tech support for a popular service you would understand.

Not getting your monthly bonus because you spent too long reading one ticket is devestating.
