Windows on NetCup ARM64

plumbergplumberg Veteran, Megathread Squad

Anyone successful in installing Windows ARM64 on NetCup?

Tried Windows Server Insider preview, Windows 11. Both crap by saying the device could not be loaded.

Windows 10 gave the Press any key to install and then crapped pants...

Got an itch to see it working, that's all.

Any suggestions welcome

Thanks

Windows Server Insider Preview/ Windows11... it doesnt move past.

However, with Windows10, it moves past and craps out here.

    Any thoughts?

  • My thought is that if you get a normal VPS from them, they have an option for Windows but as soon as you login to SCP with an ARM vps, all those options disappear. I guess it's just not supported.

True, not supported. But they provide an option to upload custom iso. So, not sure what gives here.

    Thanks

Just spit balling but Windows for ARM is mainly designed around Qualcomm mobile chips isn't it? Could just be an inherent issue with whatever Ampere CPU Netcup is using and the Windows 11 ISO

    Very possible.
But I was able to atleast load Win 10 before it crapped out.
    So there's that.

Actually on second thought Microsoft publishes official Windows 10 and 11 images. I don't recollect seeing any Qualcomm chip reference

Would you be able to share the iso with me?
    Thanks!

Thanks. I am actually interested in the Windows Server. And none of the uppdump links for server works.

  • If it works, I will follow :))
I had 3 months already and failed.
