Crypto
Disclaimer: I've no experience with crypto but recently found myself in possession of a little bitcoin.
First I tried to convert to paypal, but for that paypal wanted my SSN. Hard no. Coinbase wanted a picture of my ID. Another hard no.
So how do I spend it? Hoping some provider will give me some options.
What I'm looking for:
A unicorn deal worth renewing. I got 2 this BF and want to grow my collection.
2CPU, 4GB RAM 50GB SSD, 5TB Transfer. More is better. NVME works too.
A CPU that will continue to receive patches and updates through 2026.
Dual stack ip4 + ip6
A provider that is in business at least two years.
Location: I'm in NY time zone down south. The closer the better but location is a low priority.
Prefer to diversify and try a new (to me) provider, not mentioned in my sig.
Must be able to pay from my electrum wallet.
Must accept paypal so I can renew if I'm out of crypto.
Annual payment
Intended use: running a few docker containers
Budget: 0.00155793 BTC minus any fees
Also, any recommendations on a domain registrar that isn't going to require an SSN or any wierd ID stuff that I can pay with my electrum wallet.

If you dispose of bitcoins, you must pay capital gains tax.
That's why platforms want your SSN or ID card.
Even if you spend the bitcoins on products, you'll have to pay capital gains tax for the changes in value.
God bless America.
I might be old fashioned and overly simple but I don't feel comfortable putting that information in [any] database.
Instead of trying to convert it to fiat, just use it to buy something.

You could also browse this site for somewhere to spend, but you won't find the best deals
And why not hold? Bitcoin isn't really meant to be used.
I believe @MannDude accepts some crypto payments, you can probably grab the domain you're looking for at Incognet - shouldn't need anything more than an email to sign up
Check these deals from @MannDude
The 4 vCPU option looks right for you.
https://lowendtalk.com/discussion/202386/incognet-epyc-2-4-and-6-core-flash-deals-fast-nvme-storage-5gbps-you-dont-want-to-miss-out
IncogNET also sells domains by proxy (you pay and control the DNS records, but the company's info is inserted in the WHOIS instead of your info and they own the domain. I believe it may be possible to substitute your own info if anonymity isn't important to you, thus making you the actual owner of the domain. I would still ask @MannDude about that, if that's a concern for you.
Thanks for the shout out.
@fitkoh , we do privacy the right way. We process crypto in-house and don't require PII details for your account registration with us.
This is what I'm working on
My friend we have a fundamental philosophical difference. It seems to me the only thing money is good for is spending.
Nice link though. I did a quick browse and may investigate more later.
Good tip. I saw a post somewhere about Incognet putting the finishing touches on domain registration and still had a few contracts to sign to get fully functional with all TLDs. @MannDude did I miss any updates on this? Correct me if I'm wrong.> @MannDude said:
I've actually been a fan boy of Incognet for some time. The service aligns well with my basic principles and ideals.
But it's sooo prem! I could surely get something nice out of my crypto, but I'm definitely open for more affordable options. The domains are a good choice though, close to standard market pricing.
send it to @Calin
I would need like .02 more BTC
pretty sure that's namecrane
Very possible. Memory is fickle and search is slow.
Something like this?
HostEons — $84 / year
4 Ryzen Cores (shared)
4096 MB RAM
50 GB NVMe
10240 GB/month bandwidth
1.0 Gbps port speed
IPv4 + IPv6
Hosted in U.S.A.
With your budget you can buy even better specs. Check the affy pony, the results are tagged for Monero but Bitcoin is implied.
Also AdvinServers is on the less expensive side and supports crypto.
Not Bitcoin
@fitkoh Why don't you try to buy a Prepaid card with it and use it to buy what you want?
i used ezzocards years ago. but now i see price is too high. maybe they gain popularity now.
Crypto? BITCOINS? I guess @Calin could help you
@servers_guru He accepts crypto and all you need is working email.
