What's the best android app to use with MXRoute email

Hello,

What's the best android app to use with MXRoute email?

I don't know much about this how peoples use emails on mobile.

So suggest me something which provides the feature to read and send mails from mobile.

And I like gmail interface.

Thanks in Advance

Setup on PC/desktop. Download Gmail and login, you can now send mail from Gmail, and receive it from pop. Gmail pulls email every 20-30 mins. If you want it faster you can forward email to you instead

  • I use Aqua Mail. Nothing else is comparable or even getting close to it in terms of the extensiveness and the fine-grained control of each individual feature you'd expect for a professional mail app on Android. It is expensive though, like $30 per year.

For free apps, you can use the Crossbox.io which is built for this. Also, any email apps would actually work, Outlook, Gmail, Yahoo, Spark, EM Client, etc.

    Yup, that would be M66B.

I also support this guy's suggestion. FairEmail works with MXRoute, and is really extensive.

    And I like gmail interface.

Old version of K-9 Mail: https://github.com/thunderbird/thunderbird-android/releases/tag/5.600

(this is the last one before "Major redesign of the user interface")

Tried FairEmail quite some time ago, even back then it was using 500+ MB of RAM on a rather empty mailbox.

Such amount of memory for handling a bunch of text messages is completely beyond me.

  • I'm currently using FairEmail as well but the UI is too simple for my liking. However it has one-time payment option unlike many other apps that now only offer subscription based option which in my opinion is asking too much for email.

  • I am also using K-9 mail (but latest version)

Checked my bookmarks, there was a fork with Pro functions, but now the link is dead and I do not recall what exactly was there:
    https://ci.linux4.de/job/FairEmail/

Also here's a minimalistic fork of FairEmail:

I didn't try it myself yet.

https://www.thunderbird.net/mobile, connect through IMAP and you are good to go.

Or use Gmail which is already installed on the phone.

    You can use Microsoft Outlook
Connect your email account via IMAP or POP

+1 for FairEmail, I even purchased the pro feature as it's one-time, really worth it

  • I use Gmail for it. Maybe I need to get off my lazy ass and explore other alternative. :joy:

  • As a client app, I use email app by Edison software.

  • Used FairEmail, but switched to K9. Had no problems with FairEmail, but UI is a bit too "busy" for my liking.

Not sure if Marcel is a member here but let me tag him for fun @M66B . To me he is super responsive (reply my email in minutes every single time) and hence FairEmail is still my no.1 regardless of how many other email apps I have tried!

I'm and more or less active member here, but LET isn't for support of FairEmail.

Have to concur with this, Aqua Mail is superb if you're not looking for free.

But $30 per year, ouch!! I'm sure it was ~$10 for a perpetual license when I paid for pro about a decade ago. But I suppose it didn't have the cash cow of supporting IOS back then.

Hey I use both your products but I just wanted to thank you for NetGuard, It's running on on all my family's phones for privacy and security. Dead simple to use and setup, great product!

  • You might want to try the Gmail app itself. It works pretty well with MXRoute, letting you read and send emails smoothly.

I faced sync issue in the Gmail app. Custom imap mails (other than Gmail) comes a bit late in gmail app.

Unless your app supports IMAP IDLE, every app will have that issue

Have you tried adjusting the sync frequency settings or checking your connection?
