You can get oracle free tier, it's supposedly "always free" so it might even come handy in the future to have it.
Other than that there's a limited time free trial on vultr (30 days), digitalocean (60 days) and linode (60 days)

Yeah, the Internet is full of corroborating stories of how they're...

Oh no wait. It's just you.

    Can you expand on this?

While I note that Vultr's prices do seem to keep increasing over time on invoices, I've never had any issues with billing.

Additionally, you're invoiced after utilising resources, not before.

I added some credits a while back, when I went there to spin something up for a test I was not able to use those credits, they implied that I had to attach a payment method in order to use the credits(which I added using a payment method, duh), my only option at the time was PayPal, that would imply giving them more money just to be able to use the money I already gave them. I closed my account and moved on.

    Hello @Noah2002

Yes, we offer 12 months of free web hosting with PHP support (if shared hosting works for you).

    Here’s what you get:

    • Latest PHP Version Support
    • Fast SSD Storage
    • 10 MySQL Databases
    • 25 Free Email Accounts
    • Easy-to-Use cPanel
    • Free from Ads and banners
  • Nowadays, hosting costs start from $1 to $2 per month, I suggest using paid services for better control.
