Storage EU/UK
Looking for storage vps for photos and documents for an educational client.
Basically they are using google at the moment and have used their free allowance 15gb
They are looking to put on something like nextcloud so that their team can work easily together.
Budget is low as they don't make a lot!
Let me know if anyone has anything decent to offer.
Thanks

Hi,
https://layer7.net/cloud-server
fully configurable. NVMe higher speed disk up until 4 TB. HDD slower speed disk up to 10 TB ( up to 3 disks ).
Free testaccounts available. Maybe its interesting for you / them.
Hostbrr storage box? 500GB storage for $7/yr and you can run nextcloud on it

Hey, I could offer you a storage box with Synology Drive. The pricing for the storage box is 50ct/100GB/mo. This would probably check all the boxes
A 20% discount is available on a yearly commitment.
Hi!
It would be great if you could tell us at least an approximate budget. I can offer our NVME VPS with the cheapest tariff of 6 euros per month. You will receive the following:
1 vCPU
2GB RAM
30GB NVMe
1 Gbps 2TB
Choose the desired OS yourself and you can install everything you need on it. If you are not satisfied with this, let me know and I will try to find some other solution
You might want to consider Hetzner's Storage Share plan. It's built on Nextcloud, and the basic NX11 plan offers 1TB of storage, 3 subdomains, and 50 simultaneous connections for €0.0069/hour, with a monthly maximum of €4.29 (excluding VAT).
In theory, you can use it just like Nextcloud, hosted in Falkenstein, Germany. If you're looking for a simple solution, this could be a good choice. You can learn more by following this link: https://www.hetzner.com/storage/storage-share/
This is just a friendly recommendation, with no affiliate link.
Nice suggestion. I had forgotten about their storage plans.
@MoonMusicStone - Thanks for the recommendation. We have a couple of different storage options now. If you want something NextCloud-based, then the Storage Shares are a good option. (See also: https://docs.hetzner.com/storage/storage-share) But you can see an overview for other options here. --Katie
Hi
We offer UK based storage VPS here
https://xhosts.uk/storage-vps-servers
Thanks
I’ve never seen an hourly backup pricing system. If I spin it NX31 for 3h a week to rsync to it, am I paying 0.05 * 3 * 4 = 6 € p/m for 10 TB ? That’s incredibly low, are there any speed limits?
Thx
ps: YABS ?

Unless you're just using it for transfer, you'll need to pay for the storage even if you don't use it all the time. If you cancel the service, I think your data will also be deleted. Currently, all Hetzner services use hourly pricing, and there's a monthly cap on the price if you use it for a full month, which is slightly cheaper. Storage-share is essentially a Nextcloud instance, self-hosted by Hetzner.
You’re right. It seems like allocation, even if it’s just HDD always counts. Price is not too bad, also don’t mind nextclouds GUI. Maybe they’ll throw in a coupon for LETers
Hi hennaboy,
Melbicom can offer the following:
VPS with 20 GB SSD for €3.9/month
VPS with 40 GB SSD for €7.8/month

Seems like the best value. Will discuss with the client. Thanks for the link and information.
