Happy Chinese New Year! Thanks for your message. We don't have any cheaper dedicated servers right now, as our stock currently starts with Dual E5-2690v4's at minimum.

However, we did recently launch our cloud platform. It starts at $20/mo for the developer tier, and has a limit of up to 3 VM's. Learn more at https://1gservers.com/cloud-computing-vps-server-hosting.html

I apologize for some information lacking on the page, we are adding an FAQ soon. The tier plan level outlines the account level limits, which are number of VMs, how many IPs available for use on VMs, etc. In addition, the cost of the tier level gets you the same amount in credits to use for VMs. However, additional credit can be purchased and added at any time.

When you signup for the account, an additional 25% bonus credit is added.

The VMs are billed hourly until the monthly cost for that VM is reached. To stop billing for a VM, delete it.

rDNS will be available by next month.

This page describes the available tier levels, as well as the VM’s available.

LUNAR new year, China dont own the moon, yet!

Actually, the traditional Chinese calendar used for Spring Festival is a lunisolar calendar (Yin-Yang combined calendar), not a pure lunar system. It coordinates months with moon phases and aligns years with the solar cycle through intercalary months. That’s why the date shifts between January and February while staying close to the solar term ‘Lìchūn’ (Start of Spring).

While many Asian cultures share celebrations rooted in this calendar, the system itself originated in China over 3,000 years ago. Even the UN officially recognizes it as the ‘Chinese Lunar Calendar’.

In fact, UNESCO has listed the Spring Festival as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of China, documenting its historical and social significance (reference: UNESCO Spring Festival).

Everyone is welcome to celebrate, but please respect its origins without diminishing or appropriating its cultural essence. Wishing all a joyful Chinese New Year! 🧧
