Comparing Singapore & Malaysia for Cloud/Colocation

Mahfuz_SS_EHLMahfuz_SS_EHL Host Rep, Veteran

Hello,

How's Malaysia compared to Singapore for Colocating Hardwares in terms if Datacenter quality & Network Path Optimization ?

I can find mostly 4 Datacenters which are being used by all the service provider out there, CX1, CX2, AIMS etc.

Anyone having good deal for colocation in Malaysia Half Rack initially with 1-2KW Power with 1 Gbps Shared BW. Should be able to provide BGP Session.

Regards.

Singapore is far more developed than Malaysia is connectivity-wise. A lot of LET providers are opening in Johor (e.g. Equinix JH1) and then backhauling their connection back to Singapore.

For $1440/month, we can offer you a half rack in Johor Bahru, MY with 2.8 kW of power in Equinix JH1. The network is backhauled to Singapore.

Bandwidth would be billed separately at $0.60/Mbit (DataPacket/CDN77). Includes DDoS protection and 10G shared port. Inbound bandwidth is completely free.

Remote hands is billed at 500 MYR per hour, requests scheduled to be within 24 hours often require a 1000 MYR expedite fee (passthrough costs from Equinix)

But I totally understand if you need something closer to Kuala Lumpur
