Unable to install windows server 2025 on kimsufi
I have a kimsufi KS-LE-1 and I'm trying to install windows server 2025 by following this tutorial https://lowendtalk.com/discussion/160282/windows-kimsufi-qemu-fresh-install-probably-will-work-for-others-too/p1 but it's boot looping https://streamable.com/a1g8ex
Does anyone know how to fix this? It works if I tried installing windows server 2022 but not windows server 2025

Can you install 2022 and upgrade to 2025?
Have you tried installing 2022 and doing an in-place upgrade to 2025?
lets try to ask @dev_vps
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-server/get-started/upgrade-overview
If it comes with kvm/ ipmi, you can troubleshoot better. Else, it will be shooting in the dark
If you don't have IPMI, install 2022 and upgrade to 2025. If that doesn't work, make sure to install UEFI-booted 2022 and then upgrade to 2025. I have never failed with the KS-LE-X series.

I even installed windows for a free oracle instance using an ARM processor
new license required?
I'm now using IPMI to install server 2025 but it's now asking me to install drivers for the hard drive. Do you know the specific drivers I need to install? It's weird how 2022 didn't ask me for drivers but 2025 does
Sorry, I don't know your motherboard model. It may be that you are missing the RSTE or ESRT2 driver, which is the driver for Intel motherboard soft RAID. I encountered this problem on a KS-LE-B. The BIOS enabled RAID for me by default, but the installer did not have the driver. Please install 2022, then download the 2025 iso, select: Custom: Install windows only (advanced):, and you will get a brand new 2025 system.
This. Probably easier to do an in-place upgrade as suggested by alot of people.
Also, give us mobo model and we can find the driver.
And ifs it's the same as @zutianrun https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download/19574/intel-embedded-server-raid-technology-2-esrt2-windows-driver-for-s1200sp-family.html
That is weird. Probably depends on the motherboard.
You can usually mount multiple iso from thr iomi console and you wanna try mounting the driver pack for your system.
What's the iso source you use for 2025?
Maybe even try unchecking the box of hide drivers and select a generic one from the list
How do I find out what model my dedi uses with rescue mode?
I would be wayyyy easier to just run windows on docker.
boot into linux iso :
dmesg | less
will show your system hw.depend on what you looking for,
dmidecode
will give you some detailed records on motherboard.there's also
lspci
that show the chipset that control SATA, usb, vga, etc.
